In my previous book, Verra of Wolves, I wrote about a NT protagonist falling in love with an autistic character. (Long story short, the focus was not on the autistic character or the autism-aspect.)
Now, I’d like to start a new project SPECIFICALLY tailored to our reading needs and expectations.
Therefore:
If a story with an autistic protagonist was written to your taste, what would it look like?
(Let’s say fantasy, dystopia, horror, urban, romance, sci fi - settings.)
Example: In no way would I like to read about a non-vocal autistic girl that “combats” her autism by singing in front of a big audience. No. Just no. Period.
Again: This is supposed to be a story written by an autistic author for the autistic community.
