Letní slash sraz

Rok se s rokem sešel. Teplota hází alarmující signály, že je léto v plném proudu, a nadešel čas pro organizaci slash pikniku.

Tým fb skupiny Open Slash pro pořádání slash srazu (ve složení: bedrníka, Tofiam, Medúsa, Artie, Blanch a já) vás zve na letošní Letní slash sraz. Letos jsme se rozhodli pro variantu kombinující piknik s pobytem v restauraci.

V sobotu ve 13: 00 sraz na oběd v ukrajinské restauraci Boršč na Strossmayerově náměstí. Po 15:00 přesun do Stromovky na piknik.

Pokud chcete dorazit rovnou do Stromovky. Plánujeme se rozvalit někde poblíž Planetária. V 15: 00 teprve vyrážíme pěší chůzí z restaurace a vezmeme to pravděpodobně přes obchod, abychom si mohli zájemci nakoupit potraviny pro piknik, takže nás čekejte po třetí, ale rozhodně ne ve tři.

A berte v úvahu, že v případě deště se místo do parku přesuneme do čajovny na Strosamayerově náměstí.

Two cartons of milk

A few days ago I posted a post-canon Johnlock fic (in my mother language, but I do plan to translate it into English eventually), and for once I thought I'd add it on Wattpad as well, even though I don't really hang around there much.

The plan was: make a simple cover.

Except the plan was also to throw together a quick, lazy little manip and call it a day, because honestly, I wasn't about to spend ages on a Wattpad cover.

Well.

Instead, I somehow ended up spending two days in Photoshop drawing digital art.

Which now looks rather lovely decorating the fic on AO3. And, to be fair, it looks pretty good on Wattpad too.

I'm going to pat myself on the back a bit here. It's hardly a masterpiece, but I really like this fanart style and I find myself leaning into it more and more lately (same as with my recent drawings). I think I'm slowly finding a style that actually suits me and, more importantly, doesn't drain what little time and energy I have.

Working on something... It’s Pride Month, after all, so what else was I supposed to do?

Photoshop froze and crashed twice while I was working on this, and because the file wasn't saved, I had to redraw some parts three times. (At this point I'm saving every ten seconds)... So if one more person tells me I generate my artwork with AI, I will personally break into their apartment and scatter LEGO bricks all over the floor. 🏳️‍🌈💀

I forgot to eat, my coffee went cold, my back is killing me, but I just couldn’t tear myself away from it. I was trying out a new drawing technique and had an absolute blast with it. It’s half past two in the morning, and I can finally go to bed.

From the very moment it was announced that Misha would be appearing in The Boys, I knew I’d eventually have to draw him because... well, because Malchemical simply deserves it. Damn it! 😄

BOOK COVER MANIP

I really wanted to squeeze this cover into one of the prompts from the Inktober list I’m finishing, but I just couldn’t make it fit. I don’t really do many covers anymore because there’s barely any commission work these days, and on Wattpad everyone just relies on AI now (which honestly both makes me sad and pisses me off). Good old photomanipulation work just isn’t appreciated anymore.

But I still enjoy making them, so if anyone’s interested in a cover, hit me up. I can only change the author name though — the title has so many layers that I seriously can’t be bothered to redo it, sorry.
