Hiiii

I forgot to say this here yesterday but I did find out that my tremors (not all of the time, but the full body ones) are actually seizures—not severe, grand mal ones thankfully, but they are still annoying and painful

Which kind of makes sense considering I’ve been convulsing on the ground for the past 2 weeks, but I was conscious and mostly aware (if not a little dissociative/infredibly tired) so I didn’t think they were

But they do interfere with how much I’m able to do, so I’ve been focusing my energy into my assignments, which is why I haven’t drawn in a bit even tho I promised to

The good news is my next exam is tmrw, and after that I can try to get a few requests done!! I am going to work on my animation today so I can finish that up tho

Update to the animation thing

So originally I was going to have the first scene be the two lyrics, but I’ve decided that I can extend the scene and make it more cohesive to the story (not shown yet)

This clip is less choppy imo and there’s a parallel!! The one with the fire is for the lyrics “is your blood like the desert sand”

Obvi still have some things to fix and I could probably make it smoother but this is still the sketch phase

I like the second scene especially, will probably be my second favorite in the whole animation if my ideas come out how I want

There’s no sound to this one cuz I gotta split it up

I’m doing requests on the weekend cuz I gotta study tmrw but I wanted to get some stuff in

Mai reminds me a lot of either a penguin or a snow leopard and I can’t elaborate on it

I’m glad I’ve at least got a little something going for me,, my head hurts so bad bc it keeps jerking and shit and I feel like I might give myself a concussion soon

Also my stomach hurts which makes things infinitely worse

Mai is a very interesting character to me, and although she’s not as fleshed out as her counterpart (Azula), I very much enjoy trying to keep her characteristics and personality within my art

Quick question, if you're open to doing OC sketches, how would someone ask for one?

Good question!! 😋😋 So I guess this can go in a couple ways

If you’ve drawn your OC before, you’d be able to put the image in the ask. If other people have drawn them you can do that too

If you haven’t, a character description would be fine! If you want specific characteristics, the best way to do this could be either images of the features (and you can DM these too if you don’t feel comfortable putting images in your ask, just try to make it not look like spam when you message pls) or face models, or characters that are close to yours, whatever works for you. Written descriptions are perfectly fine too, I’ve done that as well!

If you’re worried about me not getting it completely right, we can do messages until you’re satisfied and then I’ll post on my page if you’re comfortable with me posting

I can’t do fully rendered pieces like I would do on art fight, so it would be sketches with or without color, you can put that in your ask as well

I’m so sorry I haven’t gotten to requests in a bit, I promise I’m still doing them but with all the health stuff going on + a new class I’ve been a bit busy

I do want to mention that I’m not on artfight (as you could probably tell from my lack of posting), but I am open to doing sketches of OCs if anyone was interested

My requests have mainly been ATLA bc it’s what people ask for lol, but I also do for other fandoms/OCs

For my absence I will give this Suki sketch that I’m 50% sure I haven’t posted yet

Side note I’ve been seeing an influx of sukitara from the Netflix ATLA, and while I’ve heard some not so nice opinions about the show, I’ve also seen some very good things (+ the costume design looks very cool), so maybe I may watch that too when I get past all my million other need-to-watch shows

Okay guys this is a post for Maizula I believe bc I’m not talented enough to make animations (yet), though I may do a comic panel based on this idea if I have enough time

This is an explanation as to the song I chose and why I chose the lyrics for it

Song is “Our love has no goodbyes” by the Kentucky Vampires, I got the lyrics off of genius and they seem pretty accurate

These are the lyrics I’m talking about, it’s near the end of the song (the bridge)

I think right off the bat you can see in the lyrics how i might relate this to azula, but the main focus in this would actually be Mai

This entire sequence I would relate to Mai, though I guess if you really wanted to this could relate to zuko when he comes back to the fire nation, and he truly understands how cold azula is. But I want to see more maizula so we’re talking about Mai rn

The first two verses would be about Mai seeing (throughout their entire journey) the affects of war, them attacking, etc etc. i feel this is harder to explain bc this can be about any point of the show

The second 3 verses would be about Mai being essentially taunted(?) by azula—and while this doesn’t exactly happen in canon, I don’t see a dynamic where azula isn’t somewhat manipulative of her feelings—Azula wouldn’t exactly be shown in these shots, but these would be resonated words Mai keeps with her from her childhood and her peers, how she thinks she appears to her friends. I’m so bad at explaining when I draw out my comic it’ll be so much better explained

This would be my favorite part actually. Also the best storytelling part. This one is about Azula, and I would want it to transition from Mai and Ty lee’s look in their Kyoshi warrior attire to Mai’s betrayal in boiling rock. Mai would truly be seeing how power driven Azula is

It's really sad that we didn't see their friendship in the show. They both grew up surrounded by women. So I don't believe they weren't each other's primary source of comfort in the team. Plus, Katara really needs girlfriends her age and older.

All the maizulee variants that include azula are so incredibly sad when thinking about the canon

Sometimes I just like to keep it to Mailee for my sake, but then they’re missing their third and I get more and more sad

Even if I didn’t ship them (which is like..impossible not to atp) azula losing her friends was one of the saddest parts of the show. They were so younggg

Obviously there’s no excusing what she’s done, or the manipulative tactics she did to keep them as her friends for so long, but there’s no denying that she actually thought of them as her friends

Hi guys I just want to share this

Toph in my au, she’s like 26teen

Idk how to keep features in upwards angles I’ll have to work on that

Toph is still the only metal bender in my au bc she’s absolutely awesome

I made most of her outfit to be out of metal so she can use it as projectiles (best example is the one on her right arm—projectile skewers I suppose)

She also has metal bands on her arms, waist and neck that separate at the back/other points that she can use at her disposal

Obviously she doesn’t only bend metal, but having metal on her when she’s in different terrains (that don’t include the earth she’s used to (ie. Ice, glass and sand)) will def help

Lowkey I think she looks pretty awesome I was tripped up on the angle so I think she looks a bit younger than what I was going for but she at least doesn’t look like she’s 12, so that’s good

I’ll have to make a name for this au when I fully develop it so I can tag these drawings
