Okay the single stupidest argument ever against any atla ship between gaang-members is "they barely spent any time together". First off, the miracle of shipping lies in the power of delusion, so write that the fuck down, and secondly, bro they literally travelled together for MONTHS. MONTHS. And they almost died together multiple times??? That shit ties you together. Even Zuko, despite being the last person who joined, had his moments: we all meme the shit out of the "fieldtrip with Zuko" trope for a fucking reasonnnnn

Like I just saw someone say about Zukka that "they barely spent any time together" HELLO?? DID YOU MISS THE ENTIRETY OF BOILING ROCK SOMEHOW? I'm not saying it was romantic, canon never implied that, I just like the ship so I frame it differently, but they DEFINITELY spend time together. I see the same 'argument' for Zutara, like uh– you're talking about mister "I found the guy who killed your mother" and miss "oh shit for real? lets go get him", the "lets defeat Azula" duo, featuring mr. "Imma take a lightning bolt for you" and miss "lemme fix that throne and save your life for you then"

It's really sad that we didn't see their friendship in the show. They both grew up surrounded by women. So I don't believe they weren't each other's primary source of comfort in the team. Plus, Katara really needs girlfriends her age and older.

I've been seeing a lot of posts about Azutara lately and I can't help but feel happy... I'm sure my 2022-2024 self would be very happy to see that people are finally waking up about this peak...

Now all that's needed is for people to wake up about Sukitara

Now I’m laughing and imagining the ember island play in your fanfic, and they still put Zuko and Katara having a romance in the play. Because the fire nation can’t see same sex romance anymore, and they all just cringe at it.

Just imagining Katara and Zuko clinging to Suki and Aang while grimacing, because they were put in a straight romance together makes me giggle.

Hahaha I’m really looking forward to getting to cover this ep in TAatFP lol. I won’t confirm or deny any of your guesses bc spoilers, but I love where your head is at in imagining how things will go 😂

I feel like the one thing all people who ship Katara with someone should know is that Katara is always the dominant partner in every relationship.

Kataang? Aang is a pacifist who shouts from the sidelines as his girlfriend beats up their enemies.

Zutara? Just look at Zuko’s face in The Southern Raiders when Katara bends that bubble of air around Appa’s head. It’s totally “wow that woman is so scary and beautiful.”

Azutara? Basically Azula going “why does this water tribe peasant keep beating me I have to figure it out”

Yuetara? C’mon.

Harutara? You have to be joking.

Literally the only ships I can think of where Katara wouldn’t exclusively dom are Sukitara and Katoph, and those are just because Toph and Suki are also doms.
