I'm so old i remember when people liked using Windows
That's because they stuck these bad boys to them
Oh wow, that IS better.

you know the stretches?? please, how do i learn them. my art professors tell us not to get carpal tunnel but they never explained HOW
my art school was actually REALLY good about this because in our mandatory freshman year drawing class they had two sessions where they brought in a physical therapist and spent the entire class time teaching us how to not destroy our bodies doing art. the ones that they really stressed to me were the wrist extension one (i was told you can also do this on a wall if you have one, but to not put too much pressure on your wrist/overextend if you do; you should feel the muscles stretch but you should never be in any pain), the finger/thumb touches, and shaking out your hands. we were told that during extended drawing sessions (our classes were 6 hours long, for reference) you should be taking a short break to stretch at least once every hour. I usually don't do all of these, and depending on how into my work i get i'm not always as good as i should be at breaking every hour, but i'm pretty good about getting in a few extensions and shaking out every once in a while, especially when my pain starts to flare up. my pain is in my last two digits, which i assume is because of how i hold my pen, so the extension stretch has always been the most helpful for me and tends to give me some relief right away. everyone get more scared of hand pain right now and PLEASE stretch your hands while you draw it really fucking sucks when the thing you love starts to hurt you
dungeon meshi but they end up in the back rooms, a cursed idea that was eating away at my brain
Peer-reviewing @monikoishi's tags because they're banger.

It's like that South Park episode where people start rejecting the thousands of years of cultural trial and error encoded in religion and begin literally having shit falling out of their mouths every time they open them to express an opinion.
Watching people attempt to cosplay morality today with nothing behind it but personal icks and far-left woke brainwashing is like watching small children attempt to explain the workings of the universe, and should be indulged only to the same degree.
This is, fundamentally, a cult indoctrination tactic.

I feel like as an old man I just need to start doing write-ups on these types of things because no school teaches you anything close to this anymore.
Types of Washer:
Front-load: Better cleaning efficiency, gentler on fabrics, uses less water and energy. Downsides: door seals can mildew, must bend to load/unload, generally pricier.
Top-load (impeller): Faster cycles, easier loading, cheaper upfront. Uses more water, may be harsher on clothes.
Top-load (agitator): Good at removing stains, but tougher on fabrics and water-intensive. Mostly phased out in newer models.
Recommendation: If you can find a top-load with agitator within your price range that will fit where you plant to place it: go for it. Front-load looks better, but unless you're running it all of the time it will mildew and the cost is usually not worth that.
Capacity: Look past the cubic ft (or kilograms if you're not in the US), consider how often you do the laundry, how many people will be doing the laundry, and what you expect to be washing.
Recommendation: Aim for 4.0-4.5cu/ft (14-15.75kg), that's a nice happy medium that can do both light and heavy loads without much issue.
Options & Features:
Steam cleaning (sanitizes, reduces allergens)
Quick wash (for lightly soiled items)
Delicates/gentle cycles
Sanitize/high-temp options (good for baby clothes or gym gear)
Automatic soil sensors adjust water/time
Recommendation: Avoid gimmicks you won't touch—extra screens or specialty modes add cost without benefit if unused. Your washing machine doesn't need wifi, bluetooth, or voice commands. It's just more stuff to break.
Brands & Reliability:
This section is a little harder, personally I go with Bosch, Speed Queen, or GE Profile; but depending on where you are and your budget you might not be able to afford them. That being said, an ex of mine worked for an appliance warranty company that serviced multiple brands and they always said one thing: We're never getting a Samsung or LG, they have more warranty repairs than any other brand even accounting for their popularity.
I hope this helps someone who's looking for their first washing machine.
I know I sound like your mom but you kids need to stop fucking vaping
1) Vaping is confirmed to cause cancer. Vaping coats the lungs with toxic substances, such as heavy metals and benzene, which are known to cause cancer
2) Many vapes contain diacetyl, which, when inhaled causes popcorn lung, or scarring of the lung
3) Ultrafine particles, when being inhaled, can be lodged in the trachea (not good!)
4) Ultrafine particles can also constrict the arteries in the lungs potentially causing A HEART ATTACK
5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money
Also STOP VAPING INDOORS AROUND OTHER PEOPLE. Holy shit, if you're gonna wreck your lungs at least give me the option not to wreck mine.
It’s such an issue that the MTA had to run a campaign about it
yeah okay ill reblog that
Please I’m begging yall as an asthmatic, your fruit-flavored vapor will still give people around you who are smoke-sensitive attacks. So will weed. Don’t do it inside; if you’re at a bus stop or something try to not stand right next to people or move downwind of them if you can.
Boredom is so important for creativity. We spend our lives constantly inundated with entertainment. Phones in our pockets with games and apps that function like tiny computers. TVs in every waiting room, restaurant, and living room. Music on every radio, computer, and phone. It's everywhere. And we've been trained to think that boredom is bad so we are constantly seeking more and more stimulation.
But boredom is actually necessary for creativity. Our brains need that rest in order to get really primed to create some great shit. It's why we think of the best lines of dialogue in the shower, the best scenes right before we fall asleep. You have to stop feeding your mind constant stimuli if you want to be able to create art of any kind.
And sure, other media is great for inspiration. Everything has its place and time. But if you're sitting there trying to write or draw or sculpt or whatever with the TV on, music blaring, a game on your phone and no ideas will come to you, turn it off. Whatever it is, turn it off. Embrace the boredom. Let your mind wander. It takes practice, but it's worth it. I promise.
You'll be a better artist for it.
