The second version of my save is finally available for download. Mostly I added new builds to this version, but there are a few new Sims too! I will have more updates to come when I complete more of the lots!
How to Download and place in your game:
1. Follow the link to the drop box download and download the save onto your computer.
2. Make sure your existing saves are backed up and safe. 3. Unzip and place my save file into your saves folder.
4. Open game to see the save called SimLicy Save 2.0.
i got two new piercings and ever since she saw me with them, she’s been acting different. i’m really debating taking them out again, but i like them :(
i get so embarrassed, because i’ve been „recovered“ for years now and randomly i start to panic bc i see that my flavored water had a nutritional label and i ripped it off and start to piece the parts together to read it. like, occupancies like that make me feel like i didn’t move forward at all and am still at my starting point after all this time
i’m so terrified of moving on. change has never been anything i’ve handled well, but this is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.
this is something i’ve spent all my life on and i’m just supposed to let it all go? i don’t know what to do. i’m scared and i’m hurting and i just want my ignorance back
This is my spin on the Not So Berry Challenge! Inspired by the original challenge, 100% by @lilsimsie & @alwaysimming
There are five generations in this one because I tend to go for shorter legacy challenges as opposed to the 10-gen ones. I might add more if anyone is interested.
I know other people have made some NSB extended versions so I hope I'm not stepping on anybody's toes! I tried to use different colors but ones like black&white are common so they might be in other people's NSBs.
P.S if you want to play this challenge, tag your posts with #notsoberryexpanded so I can see!! :)
*this isn't playtested (yet) so if there's some giant problems, let me know*
Generation One: Seafoam (Blue/Green)
You grew up on the open ocean, sailing around with your parents and fishing. You didn’t really….. get out much… Now you’re on your own, doing the thing that you know best and making a living out of it! Your dream is to own your own fishing boat, but until then you’re stuck as a part-time fisherman trying to work your way up
Traits: Child of the Islands, Erratic, Loves the Outdoors
Aspiration: Angling Ace
Career: Fisherman (Part-time)
Reach Level 3 of the Fisherman career and then quit & register as a self-employed fisherman and make money only from your catches
You must live in Sulani your whole life
Master Fishing & reach at least level 5 in a “hobby” that your sim picks up (any other skill you want)
Complete the “Fish” collection
Generation Two: Violet (Purple)
You grew up surrounded by fish and the great outdoors. You want nothing to do with that. You want to live in the big city and spend your days relaxing (and of course posting everything you do on Simstagram!)
Traits: Paranoid, Genius, High-Maintenance
Aspirations: Inner Peace AND City Native
Career: Social Media (Internet Personality Branch)
Max the Social Media career (Internet Personality Branch) and finish both Aspirations
Master the Wellness & the Comedy skills
Post on social media (in some form) once a day
Have only one child
Optional: Become a 5-star celebrity!
Generation Three: Vermillion (Red)
As a child, your parent cared more about their online reputation than you. So, you entertained yourself by painting all day, every day. You knew you had a passion for it and your art was spectacular, but nobody else seemed to agree, so it never took off. Now, you’re a mixologist by day, but you still secretly paint almost every day
Traits: Art-Lover, Childish, Self-Assured
Aspiration: Master Mixologist
Career: Culinary (Mixology Branch)
Paint (at least) one painting a week as a teenager
Move to your own home when you’re a young adult
Max the Mixologist career
Master the mixology & painting skills
Make every drink in the game at least once
Keep having kids until you have twins
Generation Four: Black & White
*note: both of the twins from the previous generation are the heirs! twin #1 is black and twin #2 is white)
You and your twin are as different as the sun and the moon; polar opposites. Twin #1’s side of the room has always been covered top-to-bottom with clothes and video game posters. Twin #2’s side of the room was always nice and neat. Despite their differences, they’re forced to live together so they can afford to keep the family home (from gen. 3)
Traits for Twin #1: Geek, slob, noncommital
Traits for Twin #2: Family-oriented, neat, music lover
Aspiration for #1: Computer Whiz
Aspiration for #2: Super Parent
Career for #1: Tech Guru (E-Sport Gamer Branch)
Career for #2: Entertainer (Musician Branch)
Twin #1 (Black)
Max the Tech Guru career (E-Sport Gamer Branch)
Master the video gaming skill
Never have any kids, but you can get married/date if you’d like
Twin #2 (White)
Once you have your first child, you must become a self-employed composer and make money writing music while you become a stay-at-home parent
Master the Parenting skill & the instrument of your choice’s skill (Violin, Piano, etc…)
Marry someone as a young adult and grow old together
Adopt (at least) 1 child
Generation Five: Magenta (Pink)
You grew up in a loving household with your parent and their twin always looking out for you. But you’ve always wanted more. You also love the great outdoors & love making things with scraps that you find.
Traits: Unflirty, Self-Absorbed, Freegan
Aspiration: Outdoor Enthusiast
Career: Freelancer (Crafter Branch)
Master Fabrication & Herbalism Skills
Visit Granite Falls once a week until you finish your aspiration
Do you like the rainbow? Do you like the idea of playing with berry Sims but hate berry Sims? Do you want to mess around with aspects of the game you’ve never used before? Boy, do I have the challenge for you!
Welcome to the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on bright colors and new experiences.
Basic Rules:
Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). Of course, this is optional but a big portion of the fun.
The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.
Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. Suggestion: use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward.
You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation.
Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Keep the lifespan on normal.
If you play this challenge and want to share it with us, go ahead and post with #notsoberry so we can see!
My good friend @alwaysimming and I kind of created this challenge on accident, but I think it turned out pretty great. We wanted to make something that forced us to play with parts of the game we’ve never explored before. Hopefully you’ll have fun too. You can follow our gameplay on @mintiphresh and @lea-fey (pronounced “minty fresh” and “leafy”)!
So you might have heard of this little thing called the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge for The Sims 4. This a conversion of those rules for The Sims 3! You can read the original rules to the challenge here.

My good friend @alwaysimming and I created the original version of this challenge for The Sims 4. We wanted to make something that forced us to play with parts of the game we’ve never explored before. I tried to capture that same goal for The Sims 3. All of the generations follow the same theme as they do in TS4, but with a few slight differences to fit the limitations of this game.
i bought a skirt today. i was so happy. it looked so pretty on me.
i watched an episode of ru paul’s drag race. i was kinda upset. i realized i’d never be seen as a boy. a man. a guy.
i saw a compilation of yuzuru hanyu‘s best outfits. i cried. i will never be able to show femininity.
i’m still crying. i’m hurting and i don’t know what to do. i can’t even look at all my comfort characters without feeling…terrible. why can’t that be me?
