No but I was scrolling through tiktok watching Koba edits going so hard and epic and then I stumbled across this tiktok of koba with mitski’s song and gosh the caption and comment section made me tear up. It completely change my mood I couldn’t longer watch cool apes edits with guns 😔

I love Touka <333 I love Kaneki <33 I love touken <33 I love their story and the deep connection they share. I love how much their view changes because of the influence they have on the other. I love their opposite traits yet how similar they are. I love how lonely they both feel and how much they long for a family and love. I love that they can give it to eachother. How much they can relate to the other's struggles. How they understand eachother. How they also have conflict. Misunderstandings. Hurt they inflicted on the other. How much their development is interconnected.

I love how much Ishida loves them and has always shown so. In the extra illustrations they have, in the subtext, in their looks, actions, words. With 125! Taking 2 weeks just to draw that chapter, with no assistants, no type writing because their relationship has always been important to him and important to the story. Even when he was burnt out, depressed, tired, couldn't taste food anymore and wanted to end the manga earlier, he still took his time to focus on the most important things and give a proper ending. I remember how his afterword made me cry.

I love touken. They are great, well-written and so important to Tokyo Ghoul's themes.
