Let's go on adventure
Against my will, I've become quite fond of Rincewind and his desire to live and the fact that he's made that everyone's problem.
Pizzardists
I'm now starting a new collection of pics based Terry Pratchett's Discworld series.
My first pic is of the two best friends Wizzard Rincewind and The Librarian (Horace Worblehat) having a beer together in the Broken Drum before it was burnt down and mended again.
Note The Librarian is still in human form, as it's set long before his unfortunate magical accident with Rincewind and the Octavo's eighth spell, which finally changed him into an orangutan!
I also named it Pizzardists as a pun for piss-artists. 🍻
Small blurry Rincewind for the day. (Realest character put into type if you ask me. I am also a hamster on the wheel of anxiety. One of the things that spur this wheel for me is any social media app, but I am being very brave about it.)
Various discworld characters as Chiikawas!
My beautiful son trying to use his signature peace out maneuver and getting body slammed by the forces of destiny yet again :(
'But there are causes worth dying for,' said Butterfly. 'No, there aren't! Because you've only got one life but you can pick up another five causes on any street corner!'
-- Terry Pratchett - Interesting Times
Twoflower was a tourist, the first ever seen on the discworld. Tourist, Rincewind had decided, meant 'idiot'.

Rincewind, part 2. And a very happy Terry Pratchett Day to one and all! Remember that who you are comes from inside you, and isn't defined by anyone else 🧡
He objected to the fact that you had to be good at magic to be a wizard. He knew he was a wizard, deep in his head. Being good at magic didn’t have anything to do with it. That was just an extra, it didn’t actually define somebody. -- Terry Pratchett, Sourcery
“Fine,” she said, over her shoulder. “Stay here and explain it to the guards.” “Why are they chasing you?” “I don’t know.” “Oh, come on! There must be a reason!” “Oh, there’s plenty of reasons. I just don’t know which one. Are you coming?” -- Terry Pratchett, Sourcery
“I was watching you,” she said. “An hour ago you were afraid that your future was going to be dull and uninteresting.” “I want it to be dull and uninteresting,” said Rincewind bitterly. “I’m afraid it’s going to be short.” -- Terry Pratchett, Sourcery
The death of all wizardry is at hand. Rincewind looked around guiltily. “Why?” he said. The world is going to end. “What, again?” -- Terry Pratchett, Sourcery
Do you ever understand anything anyone says to you? Rincewind felt on firmer ground here. “No,” he said. “Not always. Not lately. Not often.” “Are you sure you are a wizard?” said Conina. “It’s the only thing I’ve ever been sure of,” he said, with conviction. “How strange.” -- Terry Pratchett, Sourcery
Who are you? Rincewind, thought Rincewind. And in the inner recesses of his head he tried to think privately to himself…help. -- Terry Pratchett, Sourcery
Rincewind turned to Conina, who was leaning on the rail examining her fingernails. “You’d better get on with it,” she said. “That’s fifty green fires and hot leads to go, with a side order for blisters and scorpions. Hold the mercy.” “This sort of thing is always happening to me,” he moaned. -- Terry Pratchett, Sourcery

Well, with May 25th approaching, I’ve found myself inspired once again to draw something from Discworld and experiment a bit — so I’ve decided to open requests for four illustrations. They don’t necessarily have to be about the revolution; they can simply be united by the shared theme of Terry Pratchett’s universe.
So, I’m looking forward to your ideas in the comments!
/last year’s illustration to draw attention to the post/
In terms of magic schools, Terry Pratchett had the best take on them with Unseen University. LMAO
When I heard about Terry Pratchett’s death I said “nooooo, it’s too soon!” because despite knowing about his illness, I had thought there would be more time (don’t we always? one more year, month, week, just… more).
So I heard the news and immediately went to a bookshop to buy one of the Discworld books that I still hadn’t read, but then, at home, when I started reading it, I realized it was the last one of the wizards’ saga for me. There were other Discworld books I still hadn’t read, but that was Rincewind’s final adventure and once I read it, there would be no more.
So I closed the book, put it on the shelf and it’s still there. The magic remains, it’s not over yet.
I thought Discworld couldn’t get any funnier at book 1 or 2, but I’m currently reading Mort (book 4) and it GOT FUNNIER. Will it just keep on getting funnier from here on out? Am I in danger??
