Point Pelee Mums

I used to be a job coach for adults with developmental disabilities, my assigned client worked at Walmart. He LOVED when it was time for the flowers to be put out and we would spend as much time as we could in the garden center so he could pet as many plants as he could. He absolutely loved Mums of all kinds. I loved seeing how much flowers made him happy and he would just take his time, feeling them, smelling them, and sometimes putting his ear to them.

I took a pic of some of the flowers that made him happy. For a few minutes, we would stop our day just to do a bit of what we loved, him smelling the flowers, and me capturing the moments. I sure did learn a lot from that lil ol man. ❤️

I took this picture in the cemetery of Big Cussetah Church in Morris, OK.

Taking this picture reminded me of all the beautiful captures my Uncle John would take of butterflies and flowers. I loved looking at all of his pictures. I'd pull out his albums every time I'd go to his house and look through them as if it was the first time. He is definitely one of my all time favorite photographers.❤️🪽

Lake Bixhoma located in Leonard Mountain in Bixby, Oklahoma.

This lake comes up in Google as a great place for fishing, kayaking, scuba diving and great hiking trails. There is no swimming permitted here and it seems that once upon a time you were able to drive around the lake, but it's posted that because of landslides it's closed off.

I didn't know about this lake until I was told about the gruesome story of what was found at this lake in the late 80's. I posted a handful of links to the story, though there are so many articles.
