Why does Saruhiko keep getting the side job of having to deal with the new people?! Okay, yes, Kira was inevitable considering their situation together, Alsielle was bound to happen with her being like Munakataâs second babysitter, but having an additional someone else to guide around?! For once why the hell canât Awashima take these people on? Hell, anyone else would have an easier time communicating with these people if weâre using the cerulean as a comparison. Unfortunately, for now, he isnât allowed to slap Munakata and pretty sure that even if he wanted to something or someone would stop him before hitting the older manâs cheek.
Having been summoned by the Lieutenant to head over to the Captainâs office to help some new girl, at least Fushimi gets to leave Kira to handle the rest of their paperwork. Apparently everyone else was beginning to find ways faster ways to pray for whoeverâs âpoor soulâ that has to next deal with the raven; thank God, heâs still scaring the crap out of everyone here. Besides, no matter how fast the third-in-command gets through explaining the area, theyâll probably meet once more sooner than they think since sheâll be in the Intelligence Department.
Opening the Captainâs office door and remaining nonchalant as he saw the girl jump, she was so short⊠Hell, definitely had to be shorter than Misaki even. First question and sheâs already annoying. âTch⊠Fushimi Saruhiko. Since they canât seem to get anyone else to do this, Iâm going to be the one teaching you the area.â Surely he was giving off a very negative type of aura around him, and that usually works on people but he remained oblivious to Lucinda being⊠well⊠inhuman, to say the least.
The ex-Demon General looked an him with unimpressed look. Of course, she would not want to be the person to show any newbies around, and everyone knew better than to ask her to in the past. (She just hated the fact that she was the new girl.) If this guy was trying to intimidate her, he would have to do a lot better than that. She used to be a leader of Hellâs army, for crying out loud.
Maybe she should cut the guy some slack. After all, he may not know of Ente Isla like Reisi. But that tone in his voice, she had to admit, kind of pissed her off. She stood up and bowed slightly before standing up straight, but relaxed.
âNameâs Lucinda,â she drawled in a bored, I-could-not-give-a-shit-even-if-I-tried tone that was trademark of her, âNice to meet you.â
She really didnât care about formalities, but she would try to be nice. WellâŠas nice as she can be.
She looked him over, almost studying as if he were a potential enemy. As lazy as she was, she wasnât stupid and in this human body, she was not sure how well she could fight. He was not overly tall but he was lanky, meaning he had the advantage of reach. Maybe if she got close she could do some damage. Inspecting his face, taking a mental note to remember it, she noted that he was not bad looking, perhaps even attractive, with his messy raven hair and blue eyes that seemed to hold some intelligence in them as well. He was probably a smart opponent, and intelligent enemies are the ones she hates dealing with the most.
However, despite his negative aura, he did not seem to the threatening her. Well, at least for now. And at the moment, she needs some allies in this strange world, until she learned how it operated and how to survive in it. It would be in her best interest to play along and learn the area.
âLetâs just get this over with. What do you want to show me first?â
