How to Help Australia
TDBM Fandom, let’s give back to the wonderful people who’ve given so much of themselves for us. I’ve been collecting charities and organizations, linked below. If you know any others, please reblog and add them.
The Red Cross. In the US, we tend not to donated to RC because of their shady practices in our disasters, but this is where people in Australia itself are being told to donate. Make your own informed decision.
Victoria’s Country Fire Authority’s donation page. Keep your money in Victoria.
For all of South Australia, here’s the Country Fire Authority’s donation page.
Queensland’s Fire Brigade’s donation page.
New South Wales Fire Brigade donation page.
Foodbank is giving meals to those in Victoria in need.
Salvation Army’s main donation page, and their cooperative action with the Bendigo Bank which will directly go to Victoria communities. (Again, Americans have their feelings about SA. Make your own decision)

The RSPCA is raising funds as well
I see that various fundraisers are being planned, so this list will grow. And remember the need doesn’t end with the flames going out. Perhaps you can’t donate now, but check back in the next couple months. The need will still be there.
