Any good things to say about your fandom?

yes i actually have a lot but usually nobody asks about that. theres a lot of very very talented people in the fandom and so much of the fanart you guys make just leave me speechless. there is such a passion and love demonstrated within so much of it i feel some sort of emotion i can scarcely describe when looking at them.

also some of you guys are very smart and i love reading character analysis stuff. if you have ever posted a character analysis on this website and tagged it properly i most likely have seen it.

sometimes i get messages about how bad things effected people and ough those ones can really get you. ough. im kinda like that video of the pufferfish eating a carrot.

also you guys bought a lot of the andrew plush and that gave me a lot of money. with some of that money ive gone out and bought a drawing tablet and a guitar so i can keep making new cool stuff as a thank you. i will also continue making very mean awful stuff because fuck you

ive gotten this question like 3 times within the past week and i dont really know why cause you can probably just assume that i dont like people who are weird about my characters.

it doesnt feel great to know that nothing you make will ever not be sexualized. i understood it would happen with ivan and andrew but that fact really only hit me when i saw people do it to the character of r.h. who was a representation of my feelings towards death of the author and stuff like that. a ton of people cant even imagine andrew being happy after bad things if he doesnt find another partner.

stuff like that makes me hesitate when i think of the games i plan to make. i wasnt very emotionally attached to bad things relative to other projects of mine so i can only imagine that these feelings could get worse.

i wasnt familiar with fandom culture before having one dropped in my lap so my interpretation is likely wrong, but it seems to me that identity is almost like a bonding ritual within these spaces, and when sexuality is a part of your identity, it is then integrated into the fandom consciousness. people arent just weird about my characters because theyre weird themselves, its also because obsession is encouraged by the wider culture

anyways this probably couldve been answered with "i think they suck"

No one understands how important it is to me that bad things let the "cold" "unemotional" "insensitive" "avoidant" one be the victim and the dependent, loving, anxious one be the abusive one. I'm tired of seeing unemotional or avoidant behavior being seen as inherently more problematic or unhealthy than anxious dependant behavior. They are both unhealthy. A less social or openly affectionate person isn't Satan. The very game tried to trick you into thinking Andrew was the asshole in the opening sequence. A lot of people assumed he would be an asshole. And I went and turned that on its head. Thank you bad things.
