the questions she asked were sudden, causing araragi to freeze for a moment. there was no doubt in his mind that he was in love with ‘that human’ as shinobu put it, but the question opened up thoughts. while he was in love with her, he also had to think about the future, that one day this life he was leading would come to an end. the people he had met and bonded with, fell in love with, they would be left behind as he grew older alongside shinobu. she was his partner in this life ahead, and it was certainly strange to think about. “i do love her, shinobu. if it were a lie, to myself or to her, i certainly don’t think i would have gotten this far. i’ve never really felt like this before, when i think about it. so, simply put, yes i do have feelings for her.” his arm gently nudged her, teasing her. “why? are you jealous?”

“why does it matter why i’m jealous.” She huffed lightly, puffing out her cheeks, leaning more into him not really budging from the spot she was currently in. “i just don’t understand simple infatuations like with that class prez of yours or the crab girl, the only person you’d need in this life is your servant...” it was evident that shinobu was much more than jealous, she was down right hurt; and every time the quasi-vampire saw koyomi and hitagi together smiling it burned harsher than the sun’s rays, and that slow beating heart grew just a little colder. she owed him her life, and there was no real way to repay that debt.

“and what of your romance with that human..” she muttered beneath her breath a jealous tone taking shape in her voice, was that also apart of his normality act? to be frank it hurt..it hurt a lot to know that there was someone else in his life even if just an act. kiss-shot had given him her all quite literally at this point he was the source of her power and her master. “do you truly have feelings for the crab..or are you lying to yourself to pass day by day.” the harder question that stung at shinobu’s brain was why did he chose someone like the crab and not the class president which he had adored so much.

how quaint for the vampire to compare herself to humans. if sarah knew any better , it’d be that they were trying to make her feel guilty for interrupting their ` meal . little did the woman know that Miss Fortune did not care for their feelings or if they were on the brink of starvation . a very audible laugh could be heard from the crimson haired hunter as her gun is now pointed to the woman with blood dripping from porcelain - like skin . in itself , she would find this sort of thing empowering enough to make her not want to kill but she’s got a job to do .
