I’m kinda obsessed. My favorite version of Megatron is merciless warrior.
Halfway through, I thought about that shot from TFA where Sentinel is sending out warnings and they use this picture of Megatron, so I thought “same energy.”
Ignore the typo on 2nd, 3rd slide, I’m too lazy to fix it.
Chapter 5
"What are femme's intentions?" Soundwave questioned. He was quoting her.
Darkstrike looked up, “Do I have to have any?"
There was more she wasn't telling. The femme was behaving indirectly. If she wouldn't tell, he'd find out for himself.
He stood up, slightly startling Darkstrike. Soundwave approached her. Her optics began to widen in alarm. As unnerved as she appeared, the femme stood up to confront him. The mech stepped close enough until only a small distance remained between them.
Darkstrike's optics darted away. A blush tainted her face.
"Femme is unaware of what I am capable of," he scorned.

This is a redraw of the second pic (made in 2014.) I’m really proud of how far I’ve come. Again, I really love being able to bring my character to life. I had a lot of fun with this piece.

A quick Soundwave sketch with G1 visor! I like messing around with his design. His visor would connect with the top of his helmet. Maybe I’ll do a full colored version.

Look at that, a render! I love drawing Gladiator Soundwave. I really wanted to emphasize the warm tones to show the hell fighters go through. This is the colored image from yesterday’s lighthearted comic.
I wish the colors were the same as my laptop 🥲 but that’s okay
A little context for a scene in my story; chapter 10. I’ll probably do a part 2 with that scene.
I wish I could say this was a fast comic, haha but at least greyscale is easy. I really enjoyed experimenting with Darkstrike’s expressions; it’s so nice to see her come to life after writing her for years.

Chapter 11 is out! I took a little break to focus on writing but I am back! Again, with the greyscale, because I refuse to put myself through the suffering of coloring 😭

I love any depiction of Soundwave being a fighter!! I almost see him using his bulky arms as a shield, similar to what he does in Prime.
I imagine then vertical ratio feeling like a picture taken and the horizontal looking cinematic like a frame
Golden Age Soundwave, no visor
I wanted to make him look stern and tired because I would assume looking through a visor all day strains his eyes. I gave him thick eyebrows because it seems to be a trait most Decepticons have.
I experimented with my style, sketchy instead of clean lineart. Also added color, but I’ll probably do greyscale in the future.
It’s frustrating getting out of my comfort zone but ik it’ll help me in the long run

Soundwave monitored her closely. He scrutinized her every movement. Her optics couldn't help but glint mischievously. Darkstrike audaciously stepped even closer, waiting to see if he'd retreat. Their frames were touching now. The mech twitched but otherwise didn't move. They stared at each other.

I’m overwhelmed at the support I got for last Soundwave post!! 💕 I’m so happy there’s lots of love in the TFP fandom.
This is my OC Darkstrike, Soundwave’s love interest from my (rebooted) story “Laconic.” I added a size comparison. I’m definitely guilty of loving height differences.

— Taking place during Cybertron’s Golden Age, the story begins with the exile of an upper caste femme, Darkstrike. After stumbling into Kaon’s Pits, she is forced to enter the working class as a gladiator. Darkstrike struggles to prove her worth as a fighter, and as a living being.

My interpretation of Golden Age gladiator Soundwave. I combined his TFP designs into one. I had a lot of fun but it was so hard working with his strange anatomy. That’s probably why I gave him my own flare 🔥
I made this for my story, “Laconic” (SW/OC) During Cybertron’s Golden Age, Soundwave works as a gladiator to survive life in Kaon. Being an adept fighter, he’s risen to the top ranks of the arena, only second to Megatronus. Because of his experience, there aren’t many bots he trusts. He keeps to himself for the most part.
