Taking a deep breath, Kaera walked over to her brother Viserys and took his hand in hers. Things had been so perfect since they'd been united and although he was darker than she'd hoped for, he seemed to try to keep that side of him from her. They were connected, bound by blood and marriage. They would rule the seven kingdoms with with their sister. To Keara everything was the way it was supposed to be but she could feel her brother wasn't quite as sure. She wasn't sure if it was from the attack on him or because of all the pressure he placed on himself, but she wanted to take some of that away from him, if it was just for a moment.

After careful planning, Kaera knew that maybe a day out with just the two of them might make him feel better, more relaxed. She'd spent hours getting all his favorite things ready and she'd had it taken to the garden behind the villa they were staying in. Kaera was wearing a beautiful red and black silky gown that matched the styles of where they were staying. She tugged him gently to go with her and as they started walking towards the garden, she let go of his hand and wrapped her arm around his, now close to his body.

"Viserys, you are so hard on yourself, working to do what we were born and destine for but you need to rest. I have let everyone know to stay out of the garden and I made all the things you like. We will rest, eat, spend time together." Kaera stopped, taking his cheeks in her hands before kissing him gently. "Getting to know each other again in a different way. I love you, Viserys... we are of but one soul and I need you to know that you can lean on me, let me be who you come to when you need to breath."

He froze as her hand grabbed his own, narrowing his eyes a bit. His mind had been broken, of course. There were always these moments. Ever since he had to beg for him and his sister's survival. Yes, they were taken in. But he knew, he knew why they took them in. They wanted something. Wanted to use him and Dany. But that's why he had to keep an eye on their baby sister, more. Make sure she wasn't wasting their potential to go home, on these men less deserving. Dany was the ticket, unfortunately. Her purity had to remain till she was of the right age, and negotiation had been made. Though the plan did not go as smoothly as he had liked, of course. He was only a boy when he started it, carrying a weight had had no idea how to lift, on his shoulders. With a target on him.

It was that, that paranoia, that drove him so deeply into this madness that many mocked him for. He was not born mad, as many coined him as. He was not a bad boy. He didn't know. He was a prince, and so he acted accordingly. He looked up this his brother, beloved, till that one thing. Ever since then, Viserys could not prevent the madness from seeping so deeply into him. Becoming every bit like his father, they would say. They did not understand him. They would not understand what it took to fall so hard. How hard he tried not to let it all consume him. But in the end, what good had it ever really done. He slipped anyway. Became angry, became as insane as they predicted.

Just like his father. He was scared, always scared, and that made him angry. He should not be scared. He should be king. He should have been loved! He could have been a great king, if only…if only. But instead, he became a beggar, and was mocked, while trying to protect himself and Dany. Viserys turned his head, only for Kaera to yank him in closer to her. For a moment he remembers his other, her hand brushing his hair, words so soft and so lovingly leaving her lips. He would have given anything just to go back to this. To be there, where he felt loved, where he was wanted. Instead of his selfish little sister, fat off his efforts, and what does she do? Betray him in the last leg of the journey, for a cock!

Walking with Kaera he listened to her, wondering the same, did she have everything because of those lions? New name, security, wealth, recognition. Just not, as a Targaryan. It was something he always prided himself on. That's what he was, a prince, no, the king. The last Targaryan king. Raised in the slums of a world far from his kingdom, far from his people. Already a parent, before he was even done being a child “I don't need rest. I need to get us back home. Back to our kingdom.” He said, still malnourished, unskilled enough to be a decent king. All his effort went into making sure Dany could secure the army they needed. They were so close now.

Turning his head, his vision skewed, splicing now with one of the past. Watching his brother and jogging to keep up with him, many years older than he was. Questions pouring from his lips, so childishly, annoy. Rhaegar seemed to have little regard for him. But Viserys, he idolized the other, and wanted to be just like his brother. Though he stopped as a maid whispered to another, her eyes locked on him. The warm tones of the vision suddenly changed to darker ones. She was whispering of him. Now, he stood alone, before she turned and walked toward him staring down at him, the words from her mouth claiming he was just like his father.

Blinking, he pulled away from the vision, staring at the time he was in now, muttering “I'm scared of him-” In a whisper, his voice tiny and innocent. Before he shakes his head and looks back toward Kaera once again, the world no longer split “-Ah. Yes. I think- that will be good?” He replied. Not wanting to ruin this moment. He did so love that he and his sister were back together, and could continue where they had left off. It would be good to know how her life had gone. Though he had no desire to share how horrible his and Dany's had been, it was very sad. This should be a happier reunion, and he was already ruining it. Typical. Viserys. Bit his bottom lip, trying to add more levity “We will have plenty, and more now that we are three heads of the dragon.”

Though as her lips press to his he leaned in, of course having grown up a beggar didn't seem to be too detrimental to his love life “Heh, of course. Now the path is clear. We're going home. Once there, I can breathe more easily.” And again, his usual melancholy came back. His mind half wandering away to think of the past, of his mother, of Rhaegar, of the others around the palace. Not so much his father, who gave him nightmares.

Kyra watched him as he went to get a drink. She would have told him not to but if he'd been drinking all night, getting some in his system would be better than the headache he surely would be dealing with in the middle of the annoucement. "You did get her curls. my mother had curly hair as well, or at least that's what uncle Daemon says. I'm sure she wasn't as pretty as Alicent though." She walked over to him and cupped his cheeks in her hands, this time kissing him gently on the lips. "You look the most like her. I find you quite handsome."

She knew what father was going to announce but she wanted to slowly let him wake and get ready before she would put that on him. Her idea of her brother being king was strange, to her, it had been Rhaenyra and Aegon didn't want it but his grandfather Ser Otto insisted that it was his birthright and they would make sure he was, and then their father wanted to join his two families and what better way than marry them together in their families traditions. It all seemed so complicated to her. Pushing the thoughts away, she took the cup from his hand and laced her fingers with his tugging him towards the bathroom.

Once they entered the warm room, steam filling the air from the hot water the maids had poured into it, she moved to the shelf with items he needed to be ready for the dinner. She didn't turn around as he got in the water, and once he was settled she went over and placed tonics in that smelled sweet t yet masculine, anything to make him seem as though he hadn't been drinking all night.

When the maids went to start bathing him, She took the jug from one woman's hand and began to wash his hair. She remembered doing it when he was little. The maids would pull his hair and be rough with him, so Kyra, thinking of him like her own little doll. Her fingers daftly went to placing the soap in his hair, and she let her nails glide over his scalp, hoping that he was starting to wake up and would make sure to get ready quickly.

Kyra pour the water over his head once she'd finished until it ran clear and his hair was as shiny as her own. "Do you want me to trim it before we go or use the irons on it to tame it just a little bit. I'm going in the other room to pick you out something to wear. This is a very important dinner and I want you to look as handsome as I know you can."

She was at the door as she turned back around and looked at him. "You're going to find out who your wife will be tonight. Is there a woman in court that you'd like to marry the most? I mean, it isn't like you'll have your choice but is there one you wnat over the others."

It did feel much better to drink, after a night of drinking. He wished to have gone back to hours before. Instead he had to deal with all of this bullshit of today! A wife. Truly. But not the worst that can be done with him. He glares as Kyra spoke. Her talking of how curled hair once had been, before he chopped them off, keeping his hair short. A small rebellion to his paternal half, perhaps, "Not at this length." He smirks. He rolled his eyes a bit as she spoke about Daemon. He didn't have much of a connection with the man, and the stories he had heard were trite nonsense at best, and at worse…well, funny. Brutal.

He liked the style, however the main character of them was meddling. Reaching onto the table, he plucked a few grapes and popped them into his mouth, applying pressure with the roof of it till they burst in his mouth "Ew, Kyra. Why would mother be pretty? She's my mother." He reasoned. Of course, one might also imagine he found incest to be disgusting. But that notion left him some time ago. Since he knew it was inescapable, and so got used to the idea.

A momentary thought came to mind however, of the whores he slept with. And his children by them. He had to keep them as detached from him and this life as he could. A smile formed on his lips "I'm pretty?" He teases, eating another grape and taking a swig of his drink. Soon he was heading toward the bathing room in his apartments. He had released the blanket from around his waist then as he moved to quickly step into the tub, hanging over the side a bit as he sits in the water. Aegon had gone back to his quiet ruminations of the things he had been keeping secret at this time. Looking as exhausted as he felt, his mind continued to wonder elsewhere for the time being. His head hung down.

Aegon wished he was anyone else, anywhere else. Perhaps where ever Saera had been. Maybe he would avoid his birthright entirely, then. Once Kyra spoke again Aegon looked up "No. I like it this way. It's not straight. Nor am I." Perhaps if this was said with a future context. This would have been funnier. But what Aegon meant, was that he realized how bent and even broken he was. How unhappy he was, even as one who was in the position that should have made him one of the most happy people in their world. He had found a way not to be. And was making it every whore's problem, for now.

"I am already handsome. It is not as if she could say no. We have very little choice." Licking his lips, he briefly thinks back to her lips against his own moments earlier. Something he had, in his drunkenness, thought little till this moment. Who would ever love him? Not even his own mother did. And his father….Well, he had Rhaenyra. Placing his head in a hand, he looked to Kyra as she was talking "Mhmm. I will. Maybe. But, what if I don't want to marry. I could just sleep through hundreds of women in my life-" Waving a hand he rubbed his head into the palm of his hand "Have many bastards. But duty, first living son…Wondrous things like that, are in store for me." And he would be under more pressures soon, going by the look of his father these days. He would have just wanted this all to be over.

The sooner it was, the sooner he can get back to drinking. Enough drinking as possible to stomach his fathers death, and what was in store for him when that storm came.
