Seen a lot of people saying that Victoria way of saying "Mel?" in the finale was about her autism and basically bullying...I genuinely took it as her saying "look how stressed and upset Mel is because she's dealing with the deposition", am I the only one who read it this way? Not trying to be sarcastic or anything I am genuinely curious

Also Victoria has always been shown to be quite brash and doesn't sugar coat her words with patients, I assume it's from her upbringing but I genuinely thought her listing everyone was her way of being like "I see these people and I'm concerned for them" without like beating around the bush

omg but i'm excited for november version season three of the pitt because the time jump isn't that far enough it'll feel like we need to rehash everything or miss anything too critical! it's cold enough to see them all bundled up in jackets and jumpers and cold enough to see winter related injuries with ice and wind and possible snow? i swear if there's any justice in this world i'll see one of my beloved characters slip over and fall in the ambulance bay.

Just wanted to air my own thoughts on the current Pitt discourse as someone who is really sad that we will not have anymore Samira but also thinks that some people are taking their reactions too far. I'm not writing this to try to be antagonising in any way i just want my own feelings out as I feel like my head is bubbling over 🫧

- I love Mohan, I do, but throughout the entirety of this season I have been wondering if they were setting up her leaving so given that direction I'm not surprised that she, compared to other characters, won't be returning.

- I completely agree it's very sad to have another person of colour, particularly a queer one, written off, but this is a diverse show so unfortunately it will happen sometimes. Yes we should absolutely be aware that there may be biases that have caused this and it is something we need to keep our eye on. If this continues for seasons to come I will stop watching.

- "they shouldve written off one of the white guys" agreed, but being in this fandom I have seen so much of people obsessing over the few white guys that are in this show that there's no way they'd write them off! There are like almost 500 fics of Park the Shark on ao3, he had less than five minutes of screen time, and I can't escape the Jack Abbot x Reader fics that keep appearing on tumblr in the lesbian ship tags no less. I'm not judging anyone for liking these characters I'm just saying it doesn't surprise me that they weren't more likely candidates for being written off. Before now I'd mostly seen Samira content in relation to Mohabbot shipping so I think we should all celebrate female characters of colour more on their own merits as well.

- Some of this fandom are going straight into antisemitic territory and it needs to stop. There are people saying it's because Supriyah supports Gaza (which whilst I'm here Free Palestine 🇵🇸 do not stop saying it) but Sepidah Moafi (Al-Hashimi) has been very vocal supporter of Palestine for years. I have heard many conflicting things about Noah Wyle's political views on the situation and I won't pretend that I know for sure this wasn't a reason, but some of you are making comments to a Jewish man that are straight up antisemitic. The way to overcome zionism is not by becoming a bigot yourself! Also as someone who has been signed off work with depression, don't make comments about how a suicidal person should "do it" even when its a fictional character, real people with these issues will see it and it will not help them. Please don't put more threatening comments on an Instagram post of someone saying goodbye to a deceased colleague that's just fucking wrong.

So, all in all, what I'm trying to say is:

I am very sad that Samira Mohan won't be in season 3. It is valid for you to be upset and stop watching the show. It is valid to be concerned that there is a trend of writing off women of colour and to analyse why that might be. It is not valid to send bigoted and threatening comments or start rumours as to why and what happened until we receive a statement from Supriyah Ganesh themselves.

She isn't blaming him, if he relapses, she's stating its a real possibility. It's not hypocrisy, it's parallels?

Neither Mel or Santos are going to the fireworks with who they planned to, both of them are having a crisis of their identity (Mel learning that her sister isn't as reliant on her anymore and that she isn't certain how to be herself without her, and Santos essentially self-fulfilling her belief that people see her as the enemy and is questioning her relationship with Garcia) so what if because neither want to be alone, they went to the fireworks together and they kissed and they were both girls ( •̯́ ^ •̯̀) 👉👈

It is my humble (and completely correct) opinion that when getting the bike fixed, Duke found out about Robby's crush on Dennis and said that he would only come in to get checked over if it meant he could finally meet Robby's crush and tease him forever about it. i'm probably gonna say very little about fandom discourse around this ep because spring break starts next week and i'm running out of sanity but actually. i love everyone on the pitt being flawed and fucked up and nasty sometimes. i love robby being a hypocrite and repulsed by samira's anxiety because he's repulsed by his own. i love that, alternatively, samira is repulsed by her mother's loneliness because she's repulsed by her own, too. i love santos blaming langdon for her ostracization at the ED and her unwillingness to see that, separate of the langdon issue (however separate you can make it), if you go around being an asshole to your peers all the time, some people are just not going to fucking like you. i love that its garcia specifically who checks santos for the lack of decorum she's displaying in front of their patients in this ep because garcia herself could arguably stand to have a bit more decorum when talking about patients and she's also treating santos like a dogggg right now. i love that mel is overstepping boundaries with becca and coddling her in a way that doesnt allow becca the space she deserves to be an autonomous adult with autism who should be respected on her own terms because mel's also struggling with what it means to be an autonomous adult with autism who should be respected on her own terms. i think there's a difference between a show depicting characters behaving badly and cosigning their bad behavior. i think a good character and a good person are separate categories. i love that this is a show that isn't so obsessed with likability that it keeps its characters from behaving badly.

frankly, i hope these characters keep fucking up, and i hope they keep getting checked by their fellow fuck ups, because that's life, brother. there is no divine priestly class of sinless people who exist to tell the "bad" people off for their missteps. and i hope that, as the show progresses, we see robby, santos, mohan, langdon etc make more mistakes and better mistakes. and i love that this show, for all its flaws, is (imo) still holding true to its premise that people are not wholly defined by their best moments or their worst. no matter how uncomfortable it is to sit with that nuance or how tense that makes an episode of television lol.

Fave Saw merch??

I finished the book of The Long Walk, I have so many opinions on the differences, I really think that the changes the film made were great choices for the film. I truly loved both and I think that the fact that the book is focused on 16-18 year olds and the film appears to be more like 18-20 provides a huge context for the differences and choices made and I'm just being fixated on this I love discussing opinions and interpretations ahhhhhhhhh
