List of reasons to love Miles Morales,as a gift to him for his birthday
He's a black teenage superhero who tackles all three of those aspects and what they mean for him overlappingly rather than not touching upon how he'd realistically be effected by them so he'd be palatable to nonblack audiences
He's incredibly sweet,kind,gentle, sentimental,passionate and softhearted and unashamed on those aspects of himself and shares them with gutso and encourages the same of others who wish they could too and to stand up for themselves
He dosen't care about what's 'considered' 'real' justice in favor of doing what he knows is right because he was raised right by his parents and is capable of forming and changing his own worldviews and deciding his own actions and creating his own paths rather than needing his hand held through it and his heroism done for him
He's so optimistic he refuses to not find somethings bright and sustainable in the faultiest and bleakest of times and his altruistic nature combined with his lethally layered bounds of capability and unorthodox tactics manages to save him and the day from permanent doom again and again and again and without endings for him and everyone else he manages be the hero to
He treats everyone with respect on default except if they cross lines or already crossed lines down on his very nuanced from sought knowledge and hands-on experiences moral compass(pun intended)and that includes brushing aside providing respect for awful people he's 'supposed' to see as deserving of it
He also has a very strong sense of SELF-respect and dosen't let anyone reduce him down to a doormat and take advantage of his niceness and openess if he can help it and when he does get taken advantage of/exploited,he's allowed to feel rage and hurt over it while the narrative frames him as in the complete right and sympathetically
He's super smart to the point he's straight up a child genius and heavily invested in his academics and education.On the flipside,he's also a wonderful and dedicated artist with a high imagination and care for his crafts but lacks the perfectionist tendencies that would hold him back from doing it purely for his love of his art and arts in general.AND he's an athlete where his investment in sports comes in at,thrice again,enjoyment and appreciation towards the ones he participates in and not trying to prove something or live up to standards he dosen't actively/naturally wish to achieve.He's a menace on any court you put him thanks to how adaptable he is and nobody can convince me otherwise !
His quips,snark,cheeky comments,out of pocket lines and his entire sense of humor really are objectively hilarious and much more good-natured,tasteful and clever than a lot of other teen male characters'(and lbr,a lot of ADULT male characters' too)
He's a mama's boy to Rio,a loving and protective older brother to Billie and a good son who makes Jefferson proud of him
His relathionship with Aaron Spiderverse movies incarnation wise was also genuinely emotionally poignant even with what little we got to see of them and that speaks volumes of how highly they held and strongly loved eachother
He's not held down by singular archetypes even at his worst writing moments and holds semblances of his true character despite attempts at erasing them and him in all but his name by extension fullforce and at his best ones,he's inherently someone you want to root for and watch throughout their entire journey so you can witness his personal victories he more than earns-both in a 'he deserves peacefulness and rests after those traumatizing and terrible things he went through' meaning and in a 'the work he puts in to achieve his goals and reach improved states of self makes it feel so incredible cathartic and paid-off when he wins' meaning
His suits always eat up so good throught (almost) all his versions so far and his habit of snacking on junk food excessively every chance he gets and tendency to try to destress through gaming on his consoles is very endearing and highlights he's still just a kid even if he's also Spiderman undoubtedly,undeniably and unmythologizably as well
He constantly goes out of his way to be as good of a friend as he could be and is a bisexual legend-I mean,just look at the surprisingly high number of female love interests he has actual solid chemistry with by superheroes comics standards and his interactions with his male friends AND the Moonlight poster in his bedroom
Bro is the highest form of cutie patootie,inside and outside
His powerset is as ultra cool and unique as he is
