"A little" is exactly how much time you'll live.
The important thing to remember is that, when Shrek came out in 2001, its subversive, ironical tone was groundbreaking because it was up against a Disney machine that played everything completely straight (notwithstanding "Emperor's New Groove", which came out a few months earlier). Then Disney itself bought into that tone and hegemonized it, and now, movies that actually take their own fucking characters and premises seriously feel like a breath of fresh air.
Consider:
You died with a remarkable fortune and no heirs. You grant your wealth to two rivalling schools in the same city, under one condition: One of them must always keep your preserved skull. They may keep it on display (therefore attracting interest and potentially fame to the school) but that always raises the risk of students of the other school stealing it. The students and staff of the other school have not only the right, but the duty to do so at any opportunity. Nobody can be arrested for this unless they're caught breaking some other law.
Ideally, the students of the two schools keep stealing your skull, back and forth, forever. The culture of both of the schools is enriched by this activity, the students are too busy engaged in these harmless shenanigans to drift into worse habits and behaviours, and you get to be included in countless nonsensically frivolous heist operations whose sole purpose is to bring more fun into the world.
Not to sound like I was raised by protestants, but I think those kids who argue that it's animal abuse to put working dog breeds to work doing the tasks they were bred and born for have simply genuinely never encountered the concept that they, too, could be genuinely happier if they could do work they found wortwhile and enjoyable. Like engaging in useful and constructive activities might genuinely make life better than a life of doing absolutely nothing because nobody's making you do anything.
"I cant draw" then do it bad who gives a fuck.....
Partake in the joy of creation just for the fun of it. Just for a laff.
i love when the “it is my god given right to remain miserable and take things personally. fuck you for making a post about the importance of drinking water. a bottle of dasani tried to kill me in the fourth grade” crowd and the “you guys are so stupid. you can actually cure every disease on earth with diet and exercise. no i’m not ‘lucky’ to be in ‘good health,’ i just take care of myself :) i have a superiority complex about this by the way” crowd start arguing. it’s a real unstoppable force v. immovable object situation
fantasy story: but we grew complacent, indulgent, arrogant, spoiled by this era of prosperity and splendour, and in our short-sighted greed and vanity, we ended it. me at 15: I hate this stupid trope. People aren't going to just turn stupid and ruin everything just because things have been "too good" for "too long". Why does this author think that people are inherently stupid and evil? people on social media in 2024: I'm not going to vaccinate my dogs or my children because polio, measels and rabies are so rare they're not a real threat anyway uwu me at 30: Ah. I see.
they died after being attacked in a bathroom.
hey “gender criticals”? this child’s death is as much on you as it is on your conservative attack dogs.
rest in peace, nex. I’m so sorry. my thoughts are with those who loved and supported you 💔
Honestly so much about their death is upsetting and there's not even much revealed about it. Tw for misgendering, violence, bullying, and of course, death.
The injuries they received were from having their head slammed against the floor multiple times.
For reasons that remain unclear, Owasso High School refused to call an ambulance for 16-year-old Nex Benedict, who died from their injuries in the hospital the next day.
Nex couldn't even get themselves to the nurses office without help.
Owasso PD confirm no fight was reported to them before the teen’s parent told them.
The police were not even told about the violence that happened by the school. In the U.S., where the police can often be in school buildings and are called frequently when fights break out.
Their funeral required a gofundme, and it begins by misgendering them in multiple ways. Most articles use their deadname, even the ones that use they/them pronouns. Apparently, the family were the ones who shared their nb identity and pronoun preference, so at least they had some supportive family members.
Not only were they attacked in a woman's bathroom while at school, but the school didn't do much of anything to protect or help them. It was basically complicit in their death. Their death was both from physical and institutional violence.
So I graduated from this high school a few years ago and the campus is basically four minutes away from my house, and I was shocked and horrified that I had not heard about this until yesterday. I am deeply appalled by my school's inaction and would like to take this moment to remind that Chaya Raichik, the gal who runs Libs of Tikok, was appointed by our superintendent earlier this year to serve on a state library committee earlier with the express intent of removing "woke indoctrination" and "porn in schools" despite her lacking any education background, and this a year after she targeted an 8th grade teacher providing safe spaces to queer students in the same district.
The police report for the incident has still not come out, and I would not be surprised if the district is trying to dance around their complacency in a hate crime. The inflammatory rhetoric peddled by Raichik and others have undoubtedly contributed to queer students facing real danger on top of the education board not giving a shit about it students (which is ironic considering how fervent they are to protect children from imaginary queer groomers, is it not?), and we need to demand more from the administration that is supposed to serve and protect them.
also they were cherokee. which is another factor here not being stated by most sources
correction: they were choctaw. early reports that mentioned they were native misidentified their tribal affiliation as cherokee

One of the central tenets of anti-trans ideology is a reactionary disgust of minors being able to have any agency whatsoever over their bodies or their healthcare. Note that gender-affirming care is not mentioned in this form even once.
when i came out as trans i had an old friend from my church days message me to congratulate me and ask me for my name and pronouns. and i was shocked tbh cause he was such a head-deep-up-the-church’s ass kind of guy so i was super wary.
and after digging a little deeper i found out that he was very supportive of transness, saying that trans men are men and trans women are women
BUT
he also believed in the church’s gender roles meaning that trans women had to marry men and be submissive wives and trans men had to marry women and be strong christian husbands.
which is like ????
the weirdest and most surreal form of trans inclusive misogyny i’ve ever seen.

Do you ever think about the fact that Mob could extend kindness to literal murderers but not himself. Do you ever think about the fact that he'd sit with Toichiro so he didn't die alone but he looked at someone with his face and could only feel hatred and wanted to get rid of him. He could forgive someone willing to brainwash the world. He couldn't forgive someone who had his face, who made a mistake when they were ten. The only one Mob couldn't give the benefit of the doubt was himself. What if I cry.
this is both yuri and old man yaoi, to me
