Hello! Welcome to the blog! My name is Ash (he/him)!

This is an RP blog for my TF2 BLU Soldier OC, Sarge! Because, you know, I am a greedy bastard who keeps making more of these fuckass RP blogs because I have like 85 million OCs that I want people to meet because I love them. Anyway, we're non-selective here, so anybody feel free to interact! I self RP sometimes if it's funny, don't worry about it.

GROUND RULES: As long as you aren't being GENUINELY OFFENSIVE, I will answer anything. More explicit stuff gets moved to @freakyrocket218, keep that in mind. Shipping is a-okay if discuss prior!

INFORMATION: Sarge is an OC variant of the BLU Soldier that I made to compliment Jed (my BLU Engie, find him over at @icecoldinventing!) in the whole lore thing I have going on. Rather than being a clone like Jed is, Sarge is a completely seperate dude. He's a war criminal turned death row inmate turned Mann Co. employee that just happens to look REALLY, REALLY SIMILAR to the RED Soldier. Yes, they bicker about it. Yes, they constantly have pissing contests over who the better Soldier is. Yes, they're basically best buddies.

Sarge has the same whole "shit happened and now he just kinda floats around the multiverse" thing going on that most of my other blogs have, so don't be surprised if he doesn't recognize you or an event you mention. There's a host of canon that he already has (which you can find out through either this blog or asking me directly on my sideblog or my main!)

He's a bit more coherent than RED Soldier is, albeit arguably just as deranged (remember, literal war criminal), and about 200% more of a dickweed. He's also VERY protective of people he cares about (i.e.: Jed) and will act accordingly. He also says weird shit about RED Soldier sometimes. I'll let you all decide how exactly he means it.

Mild note: He's an asshole. Like, a HUGE asshole, especially if you're someone who's not BLU. If you're RED, don't be surprised if he gets frosty or (more likely) downright rude. He will not hesitate to insult you to your face for practically nothing, even if he's the one initiating the interaction. He calls it like he sees it, and how he sees it is usually below acceptable. It's not you, it's him (but if you asked him, it's definitely you).

Ghost Ben

He was trying to leave something for Jed and was extremely lost, accidently ending up near Sarge instead.

"Where..."

He hummed and looked around

Sarge dangles from a bar he'd set up outside, hanging upside-down with the bar in the crooks of his knees. His coat and bandolier hang off a post nearby, his hat and sunglasses perched atop it. He's in the middle of a set of upside-down crunches, when he spots the ghost wandering around.

He stops what he's doing, hanging there with his arms crossed like a bat as he watches Ben's actions with a mixture of suspicion and curiosity.

After a moment, he clears his throat loudly to catch Ben's attention.

A very startled yelp comes from Ben and he instinctively jumps before just looking at Sarge. He's obviously panicking but tries not to show how badly.

"S.. sorry uhm.. I just wanted to give Jed another gift.. I- I can leave with you if you want."

He's definitely intimidated by the Soldier even though if he gets hurt it isn't permanent, he's holding something wrapped in newspaper like it was wrapping paper. He really tried even though he doesn't have the proper equipment to make it look all fancy.

He stares at Ben for a moment, before reaching up with one arm and grabbing the bar, pulling himself up to sit on it. Then, he drops down from it and snatches his hat off the post, hooking his sunglasses on his collar as he puts it atop his head.

Then, he goes up to Ben, peering down at him in a way that's about as intimidating as you'd expect a 6'4 man like him to be. His eyes flick between Ben's face and the wrapped gift for a moment.

Then, in that gruff, drill sergeant voice of his, he asks, "Do you want appropriate wrapping paper for that?", pointing towards the gift momentarily before crossing his arms again. "It does not particularly matter, but a small stash remains in our storage from our Smissmas provisions."

He instinctively shrinks back as he's approached and prepares to get hurt but soon looks up at him, surprised to be offered proper wrapping.

He nods softly and still holds the gift close.

"Y- yes please, sir. Sorry it doesn't look great this was all I could find."

He gives a nervous chuckle as he thought about how he rummaged around and found it in a recycling pile untouched.

He makes no comment on the nervous behavior, just merely grunts, turning to grab his coat and bandolier, hanging the belt over his shoulder before neatly draping his coat – a polar-camo coat that is nearly identical to the one that Jed keeps on his bed – over his arm.

"Follow."

He turns on his heel, and, as soon as he's sure that Ben is following, he proceeds to the BLU Team's storage within the base's main building.

"Jedediah has suggested to me that you'd prefer not to be seen," he says. "We will take a covert route to the provisions storage. He has...told me a lot about you. He likes you, son."

As he walks, he turns his head just enough to sideeye Ben.

"I trust you won't abuse that knowledge."

The ghost follows a little behind but still in eyesight of the other males gaze, his boots don't clack on the ground and he mainly keeps his gaze ahead.

But what he said did surprise him a bit, mainly that Sarge would take him where there wouldn't possibly be so many eyes on him. But he got mildly offended on that last part.

"Why would I ever abuse that knowledge? I'm dead I don't know that many people especially ones who won't freak out seeing a floating corpse. Not to mention I trashed the Red guys workplace a bit."

He slightly mumbled the last part. It was clear he took people who even valued him a bit seriously.

"Yes, well, ever since the last mendacious shit to speak to my Jedediah came around and beat him and pried his teeth out, I am not going to be particularly trusting of people that try to be particularly buddy-buddy with him."

He ducks into a side passage, one that clearly didn't get much foot traffic.

"Still, you've helped him plenty of times when I could not, and for that you will live a soldier's afterlife and I will dedicate every smashing of his skull and ripping of his jaw that I give to that filthy, no-good, scum-of-the-Earth RED commie shit to you."

Thanks, buddy.

"Surely there are others who do not find you scary." He chuckles quietly. "You are the least frightening little sissy I have ever laid eyes on. And, be that as it may, a dead man or otherwise, you can be just as useful as anybody else. I do not see why you being a ghost matters."

Ben continued to follow though now glided a bit so his shorter stature could keep up with the giant of a man.

"Oh uhm, thank you sir..."

Ben honestly didn't know to react to that middle part but was grateful. Though he was quiet for a bit and looked down slightly as he continued to follow.

"Some do I think... They haven't yelled at me so that's good, but I have to be careful. Even if there's people who can be nice to you there are ones who can.."

He didn't finish his sentence and tried to change the topic.

"Jed is really sweet, he's very understanding too. I don't have a way to make money or show my face in shops anymore so I like making gifts with what I can to show my gratitude..."

The gift crinkled slightly in his hands, the newspaper was held together by some string. He cared about everyone who showed him an ounce of kindness and always wanted to make something to give.

"Mm." He sticks his hand in one of his coat pockets, producing a cigarette and a lighter. He sticks the cig in his mouth before lighting it, tucking the lighter away as he continues, "I understand. I trusted the wrong people, once."

He stares ahead as he walks. That cold, thousand-yard stare a man gets when he's been in it for too long.

"Never again," he husks, taking a drag on his cigarette.

He listens for a moment, nodding along.

"He is," he agrees. "One of the sweetest men I've ever met. Has been since the day the big shots gave him to us, told us he was made to help us after the last guy went missing a couple months after I joined the team. He deserves the world."

He hums, pondering on what to say next.

"I was the first face he saw, you know. Well, correction: The first teammate's face he saw. He was trying to get his bearings before meeting the team and we bumped into each other in the hallway. He was scared of me at first – I do not blame him. Damn right I'm scary. As a Marine should be. Oorah." He coughs. "As soon as he saw how we kept getting our asses beat by those hippie, communist maggots, he wanted to help. Tried his damndest, too. Was fine until his infiltration sting. I remember finding him in our Respawn, curled up into this little ball – I'd seen it before, of course. Young boys who get too much shit and can't take it."

He shakes his head.

"I did not want to leave him there. Took him to his bed, tucked him in, and then kept guard outside his door." He goes quiet again, before hearing the gift crinkle. "...Am I allowed to know what you have there, Private Spooky?"

Ben listened keenly though he looked so sad hearing more on how Jed was so traumatized. But it was a good thing someone was there for him during the aftermath....

"He has told me what the red guy did to him, kinda why I trashed his place because it's the only way I saw fit of getting revenge without possibly damning me to hell... I'm glad he had someone to be there for him."

He smiled slightly saying that but perked up a little on being asked what he made. He didn't mind and even showed the guy, unraveling the string from his smell loop so he could open it and show.

The blade was made of obsidian and while a bit rough looking did have a pattern that weaved slightly with the bumps. The handle was a simple wooden one but was drawn on with something that was burnt to leave another pattern.

"When I found out what he'd done, I found him, and I grabbed him, and I broke his back over my knee. It made this beautiful crack as it broke, and the scream he gave me lives in my mind forever. I remember the way he gasped and grabbed for me. And then I left him there to die. I do not know how long he laid there nor do I care."

When Ben shows him the knife, he nods approvingly.

"Gorgeous tool," he states. "Make that yourself?"

Sarge dangles from a bar he'd set up outside, hanging upside-down with the bar in the crooks of his knees. His coat and bandolier hang off a post nearby, his hat and sunglasses perched atop it. He's in the middle of a set of upside-down crunches, when he spots the ghost wandering around.

He stops what he's doing, hanging there with his arms crossed like a bat as he watches Ben's actions with a mixture of suspicion and curiosity.

After a moment, he clears his throat loudly to catch Ben's attention.

A very startled yelp comes from Ben and he instinctively jumps before just looking at Sarge. He's obviously panicking but tries not to show how badly.

"S.. sorry uhm.. I just wanted to give Jed another gift.. I- I can leave with you if you want."

He's definitely intimidated by the Soldier even though if he gets hurt it isn't permanent, he's holding something wrapped in newspaper like it was wrapping paper. He really tried even though he doesn't have the proper equipment to make it look all fancy.

He stares at Ben for a moment, before reaching up with one arm and grabbing the bar, pulling himself up to sit on it. Then, he drops down from it and snatches his hat off the post, hooking his sunglasses on his collar as he puts it atop his head.

Then, he goes up to Ben, peering down at him in a way that's about as intimidating as you'd expect a 6'4 man like him to be. His eyes flick between Ben's face and the wrapped gift for a moment.

Then, in that gruff, drill sergeant voice of his, he asks, "Do you want appropriate wrapping paper for that?", pointing towards the gift momentarily before crossing his arms again. "It does not particularly matter, but a small stash remains in our storage from our Smissmas provisions."

He was trying to leave something for Jed and was extremely lost, accidently ending up near Sarge instead.

He grabs his gear. In one hand: The Liberty Launcher. In the other: His edging shovel. He proceeds to rocket jump into the air, banking off a nearby wall for more height.

250lbs of pure American comes down from the air like a dropped bomb, his shovel slamming into the nearest object in what is quite possibly the scariest alternative to a Market Gardener anybody has ever seen.

My God. He's a trolldier. Worse than a trolldier, even. I'm not sure what subclass the Liberty Launcher + full-size edging shovel combo classifies as.

Sarge grins, leaning in and nudging his sunglasses down to peer over them.

"Oh, am I?" he asks in a low rumble. One might even call it flirty, in that way a man is when he's just trying to fluster you. "You wanna call me pretty while you're at it? I can be real damn good."

He chuckles lowly.

"Though, I'm sure not as good as my RED-clad counterpart, don't you think?" Oh, God, he's about to say some weird shit, isn't he– "Damn fine war dog, he is. The goodest."

Yep. That's most definitely some weird shit. Hiring this man instead of just making a clone was a mistake, I think. I think HE'S the Section 8, here, and I'll let you all decide in what way.

The cheese slaps against the top of his hat with a plasticky thump.

"You will die in two days."

Without saying a further word, he pulls the piece of cheese off his hat, folds it, and then shoves the whole thing into his mouth. As if that's not bad enough, he appears to swallow it whole.

What's your favorite weapon out of the ones in your arsenal?

"Hmm. They are all good." Sarge crosses his arms, pausing thoughtfully. "The Liberty Launcher is good at getting me places, and my shotgun is good at pumping maggots full of lead. Though, I suppose, if I had to choose..."

He reaches out of the asker's line of sight, producing a shovel. But it's not the small trench shovel that Soldiers usually sport, oh no. This is a full-sized edging shovel that he clutches in one hand.

He swings it – still with one arm and with astounding control – and slams it into the nearby wall. It hits hard and it hits loud.

"You can't go wrong with a good shovel."

This is genuinely terrifying.
