Saw some people I know were on here and figured I'd join as well! If ya don't know me I ain't surprised. Names Ben and I create weapons for Mann Co! Can make anything from as small as a knife to as big as a tank and all ammo in-between! He chirps as he floats over
"I wanted to give ya a gift, aside from the cool rocks I found I wanted to make ya one!"
He holds out a kind of knife with a jagged blade, it was obvious he used the natural materials he could find to make him a knife.

Jed gingerly takes the knife, bouncing it a bit in his hand before holding it up to get a better look at it.
"'S a real pretty one," he says after a moment. "I like it, a lot...Thanks. Oh, uh– That reminds me..."
He very gently sets the knife down on the table, before turning in his seat and fumbling around for something on his workbench. His fingers curl around it, and he turns back around, holding it out to Ben.
"I, uh...Made you this. Welded it together myself."
The gift in question is a metal wolf, made with one paw in the air to look like it's moving. The most notable part about it is the care that clearly went into making it – every single weld is perfect, every piece of metal used is largely devoid of dents of imperfections. He clearly put a lot of time into making it.
"I...like makin' people metal animals. I, um...I have another one, a..a fox, that goes wit' this one, but it ain't finished." He grins nervously. "I made an eagle for Sarge once. I ain't sure where he put it but I just about made him cry when I gave it to him."
Really, just about everyone on his team has got at least one, one animal he thinks they'd like or one that suits them. Thank you gifts, for treating him like a person.
Ben holds the metal piece as if it's glass and looks at it for a good while, turning it around in his hand to see every single detail and beginning to tear up.
He looks up at Jed and gives him the biggest yet also softest hug ever.
"I love it! Thank you so much Jed!"
He tried not to let his voice break by how happy he was but it broke a lil.
He hugs back with one arm, a grin forming on his face.
"Aw, it...it weren't nothin'." Sheepishly, he says, "I, um...I bent all the metal 'n' whatnot myself. 'S made out of pieces from some of my old buildings that don't get used no more. I'm glad ya like it."
"Like it? I love it! Thank you thank you thank you!"
He's not sobbing because he hasn't received a gift in forever and this means so much to him, you're crying!

"...What is it??" Dan grabs the squishy banana thing, squishing it. He looks confused, biting down and pulling it. Like a dog trying to destroy a toy.

Jed wisely chooses not to acknowledge the irony.
"Eh, it weren't too bad! Most of us had shed most of our layers so we didn't, y'know, pass out or get sent back to Respawn via heat stroke. Even Sarge decided he'd just wear his undershirt instead a' his full uniform, an' he don't care about no temperature. So, y'know, ultimately, I weren't complainin'."
...I feel like those last two points might be connected somehow.
He kinda stares at Jed for a few seconds like 'I know what you aren't but doesn't do it in a mean way.
"So you saw something you liked or?"

"I'm not judging if you did. You're friends with one of the gayest people Teufort had seen"

"I think I have atrocious taste, to be honest," he grouses. "You'd think with how mean he is, and also with how often he says weird things about his RED counterpart, I'd be more put off. Alas, he's...nice to look at. He's also nice. To me."
"That's what matters, right? He's kind to you so if you end up in a relationship you know he'll treat you right."
The brunette says with a warm smile
"Plus I don't think ya taste is bad, I've probably had worse!"
He laughs lightheartedly
"I reckon not. Sarge is legitimately a convicted war criminal. They was gonna hang him an' everything."

Sarge grins. It's way too toothy to be anything but a sign of aggression.
"The brain sludge left on the bottom of my boot is the most valuable thing about that no-good, insane piece of shit," he states. "Only good thing he's ever done is volunteer his DNA to give me my Jedediah."
He chuckles, tucking his hands behind his back.
"His back made the most satisfying crunch I've ever heard when I got my hands on him and snapped it over my knee. Little bastard screamed like a girl, too, and then laid there like a little princess when I threw him to the ground where he belonged." He lifts a hand, taking a drag off his cigarette. "Took him to my own little slice of heaven. Took off my coat and stuck a dud grenade in one of my socks, gave him a real nice blanket party."

It's like a... Y'know Bailey's? Kinda like that but coffee-based. Milk-based liqueur with caffeine in it. Mix it with chocolate milk and it's actually real good.
