I remember this. But I feel we’re missing some key points. When it happened, he was out jogging with his puppy:

He heard screams and sprinted towards them. He jumped a fence, saw a man pinning a woman down and immediately fly-kicked him in the face, knocking him out. He then gave the woman his jacket because her dress was ripped and got her a taxi home. She only managed to get in contact with him and tell the papers cause she later found his driver’s license in the pocket of the jacket.

“If I see a person in danger then I will intervene. I would not want to ignore it and then read the next day that a woman had been raped or murdered.”

And his message to the attacker:

Something else I love about this is that they’re calling the rapist a “beast” because that is an appropriate word to use for someone who would do something that horrible instead of showing him any form of sympathy or humanizing him

Fiction love: villains who quasi-reform, but never actually turn nice. That sadistic manipulator who used to crawl inside your head and make you doubt your own worth and sanity is now the asshole on the team who snarks at everyone and likes exactly two (2) people, and refuses to grovel for anyone’s forgiveness but just keeps… quietly saving everyone. Because the people worth their time will notice.

They leave weird little gifts for the people they don’t hate. Nice(ish) gifts, not Jared Leto gifts. But, like, the most cheerful person on the team gets this soap. Attempts to confront them on the fact that they’re doing nice things for people will be ruthlessly mocked.

But they just. Keep helping these people they don’t even like that much.

Another advice for girls and young women: love and sex is supposed to be fun, happy and make your life better. If it’s not, if it’s making you miserable, if it’s making you love yourself less, if it’s making you doubt yourself, and if you feel like you have to sacrifice yourself or put up with things you don’t want to, you are absolutely entitled to throw it out from your life. You’re absolutely right:

Ingredients

1 package (15-½ ounces) Oreo cookies

2 clean new plastic flower pots, about 6 inches in diameter

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

½ cup butter

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 cups whole milk

2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix

1 carton (12 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Silk flowers, aluminum foil, gummy worms and clean new gardening tools, optional

Directions

Crush cookies until they resemble potting soil. Divide half of the crumbs between the flower pots. Set pots and remaining crumbs aside.

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. In another bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes (mixture will be thick). Fold in whipped topping. Gently fold into cream cheese mixture until blended.

Add filling to pots; top with reserved crumbs. Cover and refrigerate until chilled. If desired, wrap silk flower stems in foil; add to flower pots. Decorate with gummy worms and display with gardening tools if desired.
