Hey i know this is a long shot because this is an unbelievably niche query but im getting desperate. Can anybody please god anybody help me figure out -WITH SCHOLARLY SOURCES TO BACK UP THE INFORMATION- how much one Dutch Guilder from the early-to-mid 1600s would cost in today's USD. Surely one of the people following me knows or knows a guy who knows right? Right?
When the guilder was phased out and replaced by the euro it was worth about 2.2 euro, and the euro equates to 85 cents, so the "modern" guilder pre obsolescence amounts to about $1.87. The old school guilder according to wikipedia was worth about 10 grams of silver in the early to mid 1600s, which at current silver prices (about $2.70/g) amounts to about $27 per guilder.

If ur interested I can ask around and see if anybody remembers the name of the place but it was rlly neat. there were a couple old cars and a native american dude selling wood carvings and a massive invasive bamboo forest (which is environmentally concerning but visually neat as hell). They also kept emu?? There was a bunch of other shit there too I do not remember very well
