I love Ellie's little smile after they held hands - it's as though in this moment it was confirmed to Ellie just how much she means to Joel and vice versa and that is just 🥺💛

Bonus!!! The fact that Ellie squeezes Joel's hand ONCE MORE after this before she begins to suture him up was just so😭and heart-tugging!! These two will be the death of me :(

I had such a visceral reaction to this scene. The hand holding. After Ellie had left, we could both visibly AND audibly witness just how vulnerable Joel was, he was shaking, taking ragged breaths...

...but after Ellie returned, you can see this calmness come over him and he begins to calm down and start breathing again which was so beautifully acted

AND I loved how the sunlight was hitting Ellie's face at that moment and I couldn't help but think that for Joel, Ellie was his light. He was lost in the darkness, on deaths door itself, but he looked towards the light. His light. Ellie.

When you're lost in the darkness, look towards the light

And I think THIS is the moment where they both acknowledged to themselves AND to each other just how much they mean to one another and I LOVED the absence of dialogue in this moment...we were able to bask in this moment and let our emotions just...be💛

I love the continuation of this father-daughter dynamic duo and the "What the hell is wrong with you" vibes as one person said in my last post between Joel and Ellie 😂

I especially LOVED this scene because again it was such a dad moment - you could see the exasperation on Joel's face with the fact that Ellie didn't listen to a word he said before about the gun and I bet he was thinking "better it had blown her ass off to teach her a lesson -_-" with that little shake of the head ahaha

And I especially loved Ellie's cheeky little nonchalant look when she was taking the gun out, purposely looking at him as she just knew it would annoy him, and if that doesn't accurately portray every rebellious teenage child I don't know what else will haha

Honestly these two will be the death of me so please carry on being such an adorable yet accurate father-daughter duo guys, thank you very much :')

This scene absolutely gutted me...

My tears just wouldn't stop when Henry shot Sam because I was just not prepared, and I think this mirrors exactly what Henry went through

The pure heartbreak on his face following what he had done, and being someone who had never killed anyone before, having that first person be his baby brother? The baby brother he would burn the world for just to protect? That was cruelty reincarnate and the writers need to fund for my therapy because this was soul crushing...

I like to imagine that both Henry and Sam were at peace after their whole ordeal, and Sam could carry on being his superhero self with his older brother by his side. His everything. Both untainted by the horrors of the world, a world that didn't deserve such pure souls like themselves💛

The father-daughter dynamic duo is full steam ahead guys :')

I laughed out loud at this because this is SUCH a family thing to do with:

(1) Joel being all ??? how dare Ellie say her name, proceed to shoot death glare

(2) Ellie being all -_- why is Joel being such a twat and avoiding my gaze so shooting HIM a death glare back ADDED onto a hit to follow suit haha

(3) Joel reluctantly giving in (because how can he say no to that face :) ) and sharing his name with the MOST ffs face😂

Here's to a running tally of how many times they both @ and exasperate each other but will still do anything and everything for each other <3

P.S. need to live these adorable moments before I go on my heartbreaking posting spree :(

I just love how attuned Joel was (and is) to Ellie, realising straight away that she was fatigued and took that as a sign to stop.

These little crumbs of him acting as a dad subconsciously is everything and this is just the start of their father-daughter dynamic :')

I am in DEEP with TLOU and of course THIS is what makes me return to Tumblr haha but I especially loved this part of the latest episode which I had to share!!

It was _just_ before the diarrhoea joke where Ellie says she noticed that Joel doesn't hear quite well from his right ear and when Joel turns, you see his little smile which 🥺😭

I very nearly missed it but it was soo endearing and it just shows how Joel's defences are falling around Ellie now and that smile spoke VOLUMES because I think it touched him that she noticed that 🥺 Pedro and Bella are killing it!!

I am very much obsessed with everything TLOU so I apologise for what I will become now :D

The only way & the right way to resurrect me from oblivion...and I can only imagine how much worse I'll become when we finally get our Lord & Lady Bridgerton, all happiness and contentment after the absolute clusterfuxk they had to go through in S2 😭💛
