Hot take, I know. Been making a lot of them lately, but I.....actually really enjoy tokyo debunker. Crazy. Writing is fine. Characters? Adore. All of them. All of their little quirks are fun to me.... which is crazy, I know. Weird. Super strange when you like the stuff you're actively consuming on purpose.

Another, super hot take.... don't like the way other people write your favorite characters...? Time to pick up a pen. Time to participate in the fandom. Make the art you wanna see. Write the vision you want us to read. Because all the art and fanfics and fan edits that you're consuming and then spitting out like sour candy....is something somebody else took the time to create, and likely at one point has thought hey! I want a vision to exist. I will make it exist. Even if you think its bad. Babygirl you'd hate to see the kinda edits I used to make. Had to be bad to be mediocre. Gotta be mediocre to get a little good. You cannot be afraid of making stuff if you're going to criticize other people's creations.

Whenever I come across a person that seemingly only ever bitches and complains about things I seriously wonder whether they even enjoy the game/story at all or if they just like to stew in their self-inflicted misery and ruin other people's enjoyment.

Everyone had their own gripes with Tokyo Debunker, be it the game, the story, the writing, the art, certain characters or whatever. And it's okay to complain about things to get it out of your system and move on.

What's not okay is stuff like vague-posting about how much you dislike a certain part of the fandom. Or derail a conversation or post with uncalled for negativity about the topic.

There's a time and place to air out your grievances and maybe even start a conversation with like-minded people about it.

People should start adopting one of the oldest rules of fandom again: Don't Like Don't Read

I kinda want to say Shion, even though he plays so heavily into traditional gender roles with his whole husband and wife spiel, but to me this reads more as a kid playing pretend rather than him actually grasping the complexity of it. He's just mimicking what he's seen humans do. If Jo explained the concept of gender to him he'd come up with his own, which essentially boils down to "Hmm...Then I identify as [insert graphic body horror and gore]." - Mio:"Good for you, dude."
