āWe canāt just leave him back there like that!ā Esmeralda screeched, gasping for air that so easily escaped her grasp now. āYongguk!ā She pleaded hysterically as the bigger male enclosed her in his arms to pull her along down the stark, white hallway. He made sure to face her away from where Jiho tended to the two limp and blood covered bodies further down. Her vision became blurry, her instinct to protect kicking in. She kicked and bellowed, tears streaming down her face. With every shred of spirit she had left, Esmeralda attempted to fight Yongguk and break away from him. Her hands formed fists before she slammed them down onto her boyfriendās shoulders and chest repeatedly. His arms held her steady, ignoring her grief fueled blows.
Yongguk grabbed Esmeralda tighter, fearing that she'd already lost awareness. "Esme, stay with me. Focus," he badgered, looking into her terror stricken and misty brown eyes. She was shaking as she used her right hand to touch the blood that was splattered across her brown skin and her clothing. A wave of anxiety overcame her as she painstakingly turned her head towards the tanned male whom encompassed her. "It's fine. Breathe. Jiho and I will protect you." She nodded slowly as if she couldn't hear him at first. The shock she felt caused her senses to lose all acuity.
The blonde behind them caught up to the two to stagger ahead and make a sharp left. Yongguk put Esmeralda down carefully. āCan you walk, baby?ā He asked, using his thumbs to swipe what blood he could off of her cheeks.
āBang!ā Jiho yelled, poking his head around the corner. āCome on! We donāt have time for this!ā he urged. The brunette peered over at his partner and gave a quick nod. He gripped Esmeraldaās hand as he pulled her down the wide hallway and followed Jiho.
āIn here. Iām sure this is a safe place. No one knows the code but higher end agents,ā the blonde explained, opening a metal door that was in the center of this smaller part of the hallway. He walked in first, Yongguk following him closely; still holding onto Esmeās shaking hand.
Through her clouded senses, the woman heard various ear shattering bursts erupt from the other side of the doorframe. She couldnāt make out what it was until the two men collapsed in front of her in an instant.
āā¦guk!ā Her own voice could barely be heard over the sound of her own heart pounding in her ears. āJiho!ā she wailed loud enough to echo. She noticed that the blonde was too far into the room to grab. Her eyes witnessed Jihoās very last breath before she clutched Yonggukās hand. Whimpering and crying, Esmeralda began to tug his limp body out of the room quickly. āCome on, baby! Stay with me!ā She bawled pitifully as her legs gave out and she fell back onto her butt, still holding tight to him.
