New gothic reads and my journal for February.š¤š„šÆļø
can you tell iām autistic?
April has been widely uneventful and rejuvenating. I have been equal parts struggling slightly and equal parts trying not to be so hard on myself about it. I'll start by saying this month has been the month of caving into my impulsive purchase habits, despite my intention to do a low-spend month... I did end up buying a Switch 2 after going against all my willpower not to, but honestly, I'm very glad I did. I sold my old Switch and some old motorcycle gear of mine that didn't fit me anymore to kinda offset the big spend, but after getting new games, Pokopia, of course, and then my Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream preorder, I ended up spending way more than intended. Regardless, I am happy with my new console and have been using it daily since, not only playing all the cool new stuff that's making my ADHD brain go crazy, but revisiting some games I'd been neglecting for a while, i.e., Animal Crossing. I also finally received my Pokemon Center preorder for the Ascended Heroes Booster Box that I placed back in NOVEMBER... but it was worth the wait for the sweet, sweet pulls I got. Lastly, I've caved and gotten my first-ever Labubu. I'm aware I'm so late to this game, but to be fair, it never appealed to me, and I'd still say I'm in the same boat. I love their stupid little faces, and I'm happy with my one little guy. He is all I need. Other than that, it's the same old days with my kitties, my partner, and good food. My partner and I have been getting Pho like once a week, and our go-to place was closed for a week, which was devastating, but we pulled up as soon as they opened again, and that bowl was DELICIOUS. Also took him out to a Korean BBQ restaurant for the first time, and he loved it. I can't wait to go back again. We also went to a Taco Tuesday ride and were very antisocial. Parked our bikes in the corner of the parking lot, got our tacos, ate on the sidewalk, and dipped... but the tacos were delicious. Oh, and! I ended up getting last-minute tickets to Stars on Ice to see the Team USA Olympic Ice Skating team perform, and I'm so glad I did. It was such an amazing experience. S/O to my mom for getting me those tickets and having a fun time with me. I'm hoping to be consistent with these updates. I was shooting for weekly, but I think monthly is looking like a better format for me. I'm hoping to start a YouTube channel soon where I yap about my journal and life goings on, but I'm really lazy about recording and editing... slowly but surely...
Yap to y'all again soon āļø
at such a weird time in my life
itās bc im on that damn phone honestly
sick day.. feels like summer
they call me the endurer the way i endure and endure and endure and endure and well u get it
i may have purchased a switch 2 and pokopia on this fine sunday afternoon in march⦠it feels a little like deja vu.
Iām not avoiding my destiny I just had to lie down
second half of march has been a lot. my health has been a growing concern since the beginning of the year, and the process towards potential surgery has started. It wouldnāt be my first time (for the same procedure, no less); still, itās a stressful process.
Iāve been steadily keeping up with my personal moterm! The setup for April is ready and iām trying out a new one page per week layout! Gonna try to get some better pictures of my layout to share on here, soon. Iāve also started my little media log in my Midori a6.
Life outside of health and financial stress has been calm. Lots of cuddle time with my babies (cats, duh). I finally found a really good Korean place in my area and iāve discovered the wonders of kimchi-jjigae; it has easily become my favorite meal. Between that and pho dates with my partner every week, Iām turning into 90% soup Ļ(^_^;)
ā Quick lil summary of what iāve been into this week so I can quit yapping ā
Watching: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (S1 + S2)
Reading: (1) Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare | (2) The Secret World of Briar Rose by Cindy Pham
Playing: (1) Kitty Powers Matchmaker | (2) Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Demo | (3) Stardew Valley
p.s. I really wanna get a switch 2 soon (^_^*) ā¦pokopia fever is getting to me
A really cool gift.
I am sooooo not locked in. I am tucked in. Going to sleep
pages from my planner (2/?) - My very first Hobonichi was from 2016. My friend got me into it and we ordered our boxes together. 8 hour time difference and the entire Atlantic Ocean separating us but we were connected by our planners. It has been 10 (!!!!) years since. Iāve come to associate more memories with my planner, lived a lot more life than I ever thought I'd get to experience. But the reason why this is the one I use to this day will always be that one friend. This is an ode to her, and to the 20 year old me. The passage of time can be painful, but it is also beautiful.
