I see a lot of nobles out here who think "Well I have a 10,000 square foot castle, surely that's enough space for a knight." WRONG. Knights are WORKING BREEDS, they need to go on regular quests to prove their fealty and come home horribly wounded. I have seen SO MANY adopted knights DESPONDENT because their liege keeps them cooped up in a castle and won't let them go on quests. If you want an armored warrior who will be happy in your castle you need to get a castellan. They're closely related to the knight breed but adapted to the castle environment.

i've come to realize there are only two kinds of tragedies: preventable and inevitable. preventable tragedies are the kind where everything could have maybe worked out if only. if only romeo had gotten the second letter. if only juliet had woken up earlier. if only creon had changed his mind about antigone sooner. if only orpheus hadn't turned around.

inevitable tragedies are the kind where everything was always going to end terribly. of course macbeth gets deposed, he murdered his way to the throne. of course oedipus goes mad, he married his own mother. of course achilles dies in the war, he had to fulfill the prophecy in order to avenge his lover.

both kinds have their merits. the first is more emotionally impactful, letting the audience cling to hope until the very end, when it's snatched away all at once leaving nothing but a void. the second is more thematically resonant, tracking an inherent fatal flaw in its hero to a natural and understandable conclusion, making it abundantly clear why everything has to happen the way it does.

really like. for all that the clone wars are a cool concept and an extremely consequential thing that happened in the galaxy, there’s a reason the movies skip right over them. bc it doesn’t matter how many planets anakin & the gang battled separatists on. it doesn’t matter what cool stuff obi wan got up to. it doesn’t matter how close the jedi got to winning/losing the war, it matters that they went to war at all. it matters that a benevolent organization of peaceful monks abandoned 1000 years of prosperity to die for no reason. that was the story george lucas wanted to tell. bc for however confused his politics could get, he came of age aware his country was fighting an evil & pointless war. so he made movies not about good guys that almost won, but about people making weak and foolish choices in the name of patriotism. that is the whole point . that is the prequel trilogy’s most salient and biting commentary. i’m sorry your action figures died but they were doomed by the narrative for being neoliberal. ok.

Kanan and Fulcrum are twins.

Ahsoka Tano and Caleb Dume were not twins. They were born on different days three years apart and raised in different crèche clans. Caleb wrote his name in a grammar textbook beneath Ahsoka Tano with Sakshi Adelė and Olub Bolane between them.

But Caleb and Ahsoka died on the same day.

Caleb Dume died with Depa Billaba in the Kalleran snow. He was killed by blaster bolts that never touched him and was cremated in a pyre that burned only a padawan braid.

Ahsoka Tano died on a Venator above Mandalore with the click of a button and a “don’t make me regret this.” She was buried in a mass grave she dug herself.

Agent Fulcrum and Kanan Jarrus were born on the same day. They were both born in the snow. They swaddled themselves in tattered cloaks; their first cries were choked sobs. Tears froze to their cheeks. Around them, the Force wept at thousands of deaths and millions of minds robbed of their will.

pls ppl I’m begging you. Draw fat trans people. Just saw an artist post 10 drawings, each of a different transmasc person, and they were all suuuuuuper thin, I love seeing transmasc art but please it’s such a gut punch to be already struggling so much with your transition due to your weight, and then see stuff like that that just reinforces my fears that I’ll never be able to transition because I’m not skinny enough. pls learn how to draw fat people and fat trans people. draw fat people draw poc draw disabled people please please please please

i should’ve put this in the original post more because this has been driving me up a fucking wall lately: draw trans poc. draw Jewish trans people, Muslim trans people, trans people from all different kinds of religions and backgrounds. draw Native trans men who proudly keep their hair long, draw Black trans people with actually accurate hairstyles, draw Latine trans people and all different kinds of Asian trans people. draw trans people wearing their regalia, head coverings, cultural garments. so many of us white trans people LOVE to say “trans people have always been here” and “other cultures have defied binaries for a lot longer” but then when it comes to actually putting in effort to learning about and representing those things beyond a surface level of “support”, we fall short. if you are a trans artist who wants to draw trans people, you NEED to learn how to draw different hair textures and hairstyles, how to work with darker skin tones, how to draw bigger lips, brown eyes, monolid eyes, and so much more. please.
