This! I absolutely agree! It is just like you said: When they seem to not interact for a while, people either start thinking they fought or claim that they are "dead". Whenever they do interact, people say it's fanservice. Either way, it ends up with people doubting that Chanyeol and Baekhyun genuinely like each other. It's one thing to not believe that they are a couple. However, to insist that their interactions are fake and that ChanBaek was fabricated by SM, even after the countless of times these two have proven us otherwise - honestly, I cannot understand. I don't know what exactly about the tourgram made anon doubt their closeness, if it was the mere fact that they were paired for it (which is normal imo since they are in the same group - ofc they will have to work together at some point! Plus, it is clear that SM are aware that they are a great duo. However, that doesn't mean that they are automatically "not real".) but to me, it actually proved even more just how close Chanyeol and Baekhyun really are. Baekhyun literally said that he and Chanyeol went out often and that he trusts him and relies on him a lot whenever they do - how can this be a lie when there is proof out there for how many times they went out, often times with Chanyeol driving them and thus navigating them? Baekhyun also confessed that he was more of a stay-at-home person (which we also knew already). Yet, whenever he is spotted outside, out of all members, it is Chanyeol he is mostly seen with ... doesn't this say a lot? Chanyeol knows small things about Baekhyun, like how he likes wearing t-shirts in size XL and he gives in to Baekhyun's wish to eat NY style food (Pizza). Throughout the whole time, Baekhyun remained calm and followed Chanyeol even though they got lost several times ... There is so much more about the tourgram I could talk about ... and in private, they are just the same: going out together to eat, going on a snowboarding trip, always being spotted together whenever abroad (Barcelona, Hawaii, Dallas ...), riding a scooter together, the fact that Baekhyun decided to spend his birthday with Chanyeol (and their mutual close friends) out of all people, getting picked up by him in Gangnam right after his birthday party ... how can their relationship be fanservice when they spend SO much time together in private? Actually, what kind of fanservice do people see when they barely even touch each other or cling to each other (because to me, that is what fanservice looks like)? In my opinipn, Chanyeol and Baekhyun's closeness does not show itself through excessive skinship. From what I see, by spending so much time together, these two have reached a level of closeness where they are comfortable just by being next to each other. And I can understand that it might seem confusing to some people but honestly, calling them fanservice after everything that has happened between them .... I think it's unfair to them, honestly. I cannot tell if they are together but I am sure they have a very close bond & they genuinely enjoy spending time together.
