I keep asking myself if he smiles under his mask sometimes ... I'm sure Kel Dors can be as expressive as the other species without those masks

He definitely does - he laughed one time in the series so it wouldn’t be a stretch to say he smiles often, even if just to himself

Also love the idea of him crushing everyone in sabacc or whatever the sw equivalent of poker is cuz no one can tell what he’s thinking, even the other aces (i feel like hype would just refuse to play with him after losing 10 times in a row lol)

I like the first two drawing you already share, really, they're awesome !

To be honest, it means so much to me that someone else find interest for Bo too, we're not so many apparently (and not so many to appreciate Resistance as I can see, but that's a shame, I love that show, whatever the critics have said about it, I find it great !)

Also, can I ask you what your main blog is if its ok to ask ? 😄

i was actually suprised to see that there are people that love him, cuz i would barely call him a side character, but can't say i'm not happy lol (it's kinda hard to think of, like, any cool art to make of him tho, cuz i have to fill in a lot of blanks in his personality)

i started watching resistance for him initially, but the show ended up being pretty well made?? and i was like 'why do people just laugh it off so much?'

and my main is honestly just for reblogging stuff i can't save on my phone, but i have an instagram with other art if that's why you were asking! it's tonqurr

No problem with different art style, honestly, I'm really disappointed with the lack of Kel Dors representations and references when I search about them, so I guess we have to improvise and try things 😅

Actually, I really love Kel Dors and I think they are a very interesting species (even if it's hard to find canon content and details about them in general as I said), but when I first saw him in Resistance I was like "OMG another Kel Dor character that's so cool 😍", even if he barely get lines in the show, I was still really happy every time he made an appearance on screen ! (Is that a surprise if I told you I'm a big Plo Koon fan as well ?)

I wasn't aware of people's opinion about Resistance when I started to watch it, I found out while searching the show on Tumblr, and I was a bit surprised too, because, I like this show, honestly, I got really attached to the characters, and even if it has a much lighter tone as the other Star Wars animated shows, I still find it great ! And I had to admit I'm a little sad that it only get two seasons and that some characters never got any bit of development (looking at you, Bo and Freya 👀👀).

Yep, exactly. I personally prefer to have a canon as a framework, but I have a feeling we’re not gonna get a lot of kel dor lore, so if I ever need it I’m just gonna start making stuff up I guess

Saaaame, I wished there was more of him and freya, but, oh well, at least we got something. (hell yeah, he’s one of my fav sw characters too lmao, my friends even drew him on the card with my name for christmas)

Here we go again, taking three months to answer you ahah :') (Took me a moment to notice that you posted new artworks because my notifications don't work really well lately, but OMG I love the different style too 😍)

Kel Dors aren't the most popular species from the Star Wars univers but I've still read a bunch of cool headcanons about them here on tumblr, that's enough to keep me going ahah ! (I mean, there must be only one or two pictures of Kel Dors without their antiox masks in the WHOLE Star Wars univers, canon and legends, so ...)

Yeah it's already hard to figure out their anatomy, so they must be extreeemely difficult to draw, but you're doing a very great job at it too 👏👏💜

Yeah with the amount of stuff on them i’m just gonna take whatever headcanons i like most and run with them, cuz there’s no way we’re getting any new kel dor content any time soon. Also I HATE that there are so few pics with them with antiox masks off cuz they’re all different!! At least it’s not a usually much of a problem cuz they don’t take them off much but it’d still be nice to see ://

And they’re actually easier to draw than i expected? After a few tries it was pretty easy ngl. Still have some problems but eh, i’ll figure it out eventually :)

btw i made this blog in hopes that maybe, in a few years a person just as inextricably obsessed with this character will find it and be happy that there's some content with this dude
