The choice that will define everything.

Norval was orphaned as a mere babe. He was fortunate enough to be given a place at an orphanage, but money remained tight.

Thus, at age 5, Norval started working as a fusée chain maker. Through this business, he ended up crossing paths with the watchmaker Paulo Zahin & his brother Salmon. They'd visit monthly for stock, sometimes specific requests, and each time they would take the time to exchange a few words with the young boy.

One day, just before setting off, Paulo turned towards Norval.

"Have you ever considered learning how to make watches?" He asked.

"I already know how watches are made." The boy answered. He'd studied a book on watch mechanics.

The watchmaker smiled at that, and left.

A few days later, a short woman with striking eyes and a shaved head arrived at the orphanage. From that day onwards, Norval became an apprentice to Sadim Thyme, famed owner of the Armadillo. More importantly though, Norval now had a home.

The biggest note that I got on the outfit designs was that they were all over the place and didn't have a cohesive theme... one of the main influences I want for Carpathian Skies is based in art nouveau so I think putting Desdemona in a coat referenced from one made in 1911 that I fell in love with on a vintage and contemporary costume auction site is a good start (and it's not just because I like painting satin)

We report that the work on the demo is almost complete. Most of the team is now working on the next route. In-team testing and bug hunting are ahead. Wish us luck!

A little screenshot of the Armadillo Watchmakers! I couldn't paint backgrounds for the life of me before I started working on this, and grossly underestimated how much time it would take to learn, but seeing where I'm at now, I'm really happy with how far I've come. It's starting to look like a real game!
