Is it common knowledge that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease can be caused by a diet with too much fruit? It's not from eating "fat," it's from too many sugars including unprocessed fructose in plant materials. I'm so sick to death of seeing health bloggers and tiktokkers spreading this idea that raw fruit is an unlimited consequence-free food. There's no such thing. There aren't "healthy foods" that you can just gorge on forever and only get "healthier." Every kind of food has a different way to kill you if it's the only thing you eat or you eat way more of it than anything else. Fruit is still sugar and your organs cannot handle non-stop intake of sugar. You aren't a bee or a fruit bat. You have every adaptation for opportunistic omnivorous foraging for a reason.

Just in case, this is not saying fruit is not good for you just fighting the health fad that it is a "consequence-free food". We developed as a species with a highly varied diet and therefore have a pretty wide base of needs. Something that is universally healthy is a lie, different people will have different lives and therefore will have different needs.

And also like yeah take care of yourself if you can, but also like, eat what you enjoy life is about more than surviving.

Except this language is completely irresponsible and likely to make people MORE scared of fruit, while there's already a coordinated scare campaign by supplement selling "carnivore" grifters to say fruits are harmful.

The most generous reading is that OP is being completely clueless and didn't think for ten seconds about how they should behave as a person with a large online platform. Fucks sake.

"the most generous reading" as if you suspect I was trying to hurt people by pointing out the fact that you cannot just eat one thing forever. My post literally says that this applies to all food, which means my post already tells you not to do an all-meat diet either.

The thing about text is that you have to read all of it, and process the meaning of all of the sentences together. Posts consist of several sentences sometimes, and they are all equally important! I'm sorry you struggle with that concept and that it makes you so angry inside all the time 😭

See, let's look again at just some of the statements I make in the post:

I actually go out of my way to emphasize as thoroughly as humanly possible that simply eating huge, constant volumes of fruit is too much sugar and that's bad for you. Your interpretation of my post is, therefore, outright impossible without you deliberately choosing to make up a different version to get mad at. My wording flawlessly communicates that it's only dangerous to eat a very severe imbalance of anything. I say it repeatedly in different ways in the same post to cover all bases. I wrote it the way I did specifically to rule out anyone thinking I was suggesting that fruit itself is bad, so I think you might just be a jerk ass of some kind :(

And yeah the study I linked is about added sugar, but it explains how fructose affects the liver so I thought that was good to know because it's still relevant to fresh raw fruit, goofus.
