Talking about the first three Showa Era Godzilla movies

So a few months ago my sister gifted me the Criterion Show Godzilla movie collection and we've been watching it. I'm a huge fan of the big fella and my sister has seen some movies so I'm gonna just talk about my experience with all the movies so far. Also bit of context I saw Godzilla movies before I went to Kindergarten.

-Gojira (1954)

There's not much to say about the movie that hasn't already been said. It's an amazing film and I enjoyed it. I watched the American version years ago and while some called it disrespectful I don't have many negative emotions toward it.

Honestly the original film was a lot darker than I thought it was. Again not much to say about it that hasn't already been said. But it is an interesting contrast when you see the more serious films like Gojira (1954), Shin Godzilla, Minus One, and Godzilla (2014) and then watch Ebirah, Horror of the Deep, Godzilla KOTM (2019), Final Wars, and Godzilla vs Hedorah. While its now probably not the best Godzilla movie ever and not my personal favorite probably being in the top 10 this movie layed down the groundwork and I respect it. With out Godzilla I'd totally be a different person.

-Godzilla Raids Again

Ehhhhh honestly it was OK the final fight at the end felt like it went for too long. I do think it was weird that the best friend Pilot guy was dating a high-school girl. I thought him crashing into the ice was funny but again not the worst of the Showa era movies but definitely not an one of the good ones maybe a bit below average. However the greatest thing about the movie is the introduction of Anguirus Godzilla's first kaiju enemy and funny enough what many consider to be hist best friend. Not his first ally but Anguirus is a personal favorite and has an amazing design. This fan favorite Kaiju is sadly not given enough of a spotlight. Fuck Mothra and King Kong I want to see Godzilla with Anguirus.

-King Kong vs. Godzilla

It's a movie again not the worst one but definitely in a tie with Raids Again. Personally I like that King Kong won against Godzilla but I'm not a huge fan of how he looks in this movie but I do like how Godzilla looks in the film. I remember laughing with my sister about how weird the tribe scenes looked in the movie and talking about if or if it isn't offensive. I do think the coconut push up bra was a bit much.

This movie is also when it starts to get a campy but I think Godzilla movies can be both action packed, light hearted, and serious. To quote The Onion's Peter K. Rosenthal "... not every movie they make needs to be Schindler's Fucking List."

Later in the Monsterverse the two cinematic titans would fight and team up with each other and I've seen some gay ass art between the two and I like it love big muscular anthro furry stuff.

I remember talking to someone about the amount of gay characters in Three Houses and I said I wish they had more. Then they said "Well it's realistic since not everyone's gay." Like bitch please I'm doing the story line where I fight the church and a dragon milf realism was thrown out the ship a long time ago.

Edit! I meant by M Byleth x Male character route characters. I think are all in the black eagles.

I remember having this discussion with someone on discord and they mentioned how the person I was originally talking to was talking more about how instead of having everyone gaythey would rather prefer characters having a queer story.

I disagree with that because I don't think every gay or at least bisexual character needs a coming out story or a story about how they are treated as a queer person. I'm reminded of Gundam Witch from Mercury, it's a fictional setting being queer can be widely accepted. If 3 houses had everyone one have a gay option I probably would've done Blue Lions first.

I've been playing Story of seasons Grand Bazaar recently and every romance-able character can be put in a gay relationship.
