Mic is being the greatest friend. He includes Aizawa to events but is still understanding when he doesn't want to be involved.
He stands by Aizawa's solo training cause he understands that this is his way of coping.

The second page of him being uncharacteristically somber and quiet is so heartbreaking. That's not his personality. He needs to talk. He needs to let everything out. Have they talked at all about what happened in the year that transpired?
I'm going to guess that Kayama was definitely a factor on why he's still being his energetic self but...
There's a difference between talking to somebody who knows of the situation and talking to someone who's a part of the situation, especially when they're your best friend.
And honestly, I actually don't think they talk about it all. Especially when we look back on the first time we hear Shirakumo's name
Aizawa immediately dismisses the topic and Mic hurriedly goes back to his happy-go-lucky personality to avoid conflict. Even though, this is probably the first panel we've ever seen Mic have a serious expression which means he really did want to have this discussion.

Maybe now that Shinsou is going to join Class 1-A, we'll get Aizawa opening up a bit more since now his own protege is under his care.
