More information on this couple: 

Pictured above are Ahmed and Khadijeh, they’re a Syrian couple who have been married for 65 years and who have become refugees.

The Syrian couple is currently living in the camps near the border of Syria and Turkey and have not visited their hometown in 4-5 years due to constant air strikes. Both said said it’s better to die than to live like this.

Ahmed and Khadijah have had 8 children together, who left Syria and fled to Turkey after the situation got worse in Syria. They haven’t seen their kids since then and are in touch with their children only through the phone.
