Update 8/5: I debated not going back to the place I was complaining about yesterday, but I sucked it up and tried again and I don't regret it. I'm employed! I have to go back tomorrow and meet with the GM and do my onboarding and then I'll probably start next week? also the minor medical situation is clearing up in the "I'm physically looking & feeling almost back to normal" way, but I'm still meeting with a specialist in a couple weeks to get further opinions.

unfortunately I'm still kinda up a creek. I can pay for another week in the extended stay room, but in the time between doing that and getting paychecks I'm at a loss. it's $300 a week, it covers everything (water/electric/etc) the job is minimum wage but obviously any employment is gonna be better than none. in the meantime, anything helps!

Update 7/29: I'm still not having much luck on the job hunt, unfortunately. the last few days have had a lot of "ask at This Time on This Day" just to find out they're not hiring. why do I need to ask on a certain day at a certain time if you're hiring? why is that normal? why do I feel like an idiot for thinking that's peculiar? I'm debating turning a phone line back on, but I'm not sure if I should start anything with recurring payments until I'm employed again. I've been using one of those apps that lets me make calls & check voicemails when I'm connected to wifi, and it's been doing the job so far. I'm very grateful to be all set for the room for at least the next couple weeks, but I'm still paying every Friday for now, so anything helps!
