It's okay if you don't need help! You don't have to be struggling for your cg to want to spend time with you. They love you no matter how good or bad it may be.

One of my favorite Regressor Mumbo headcanons is the idea that, for the longest time, he didnt think he could regressor. He could never get into the headspace, and always was too tense or anxious to really slip. He just felt like a grown man sitting on the floor surrounded by children's toys making a fool of himself. (the height never helped, because it made him feel even bigger next to this stuff)

But then somehow, whether it's because he's got too much on his plate, or because one of his friends helps him truly relax, he regresses and it's /really/ nice. It really makes him happy.

Tldr: Idk, maybe it's a bit too much of me projecting, but it just feels right to me for Mumbo to have had a hard time with it, but be really soothed by being little one he figures it out.

Little!Mumbo!!

He was definitely a little late to regressing in regards to the other hermits. Everyone else was pretty cemented in what they preferred weither it be regressing, age dreaming, caregiving, babysitting, or any of the above. He definitely felt like he waited too long to explore that but everyone was very happy to help him or just hang out and talk about their experiences with regression.

Anxiety and trying to regress is not the combo one is going for. Mumbo hasn’t had an issue with shame like some of the other regressors but he does have lots of nerves. Worried that somethings going to happen to someone he cares about or how he’s going to feel.

He tries all the tips that were shared with him. Laying on the floor, things that remind him if when he was younger, little redstone kits that all the other redstoners get, and all the gear. They don’t really work for him the way he expected. Or maybe he didn’t know how he was supposed to feel.

The first time he regresses he’s with Grian. Grian had convinced him to regress while he was there. They had talked about Mumbo’s anxiety and Grian is the perfect person to quell that. It took a couple times of hanging out before it hit.

When he finally regressed the first time it was a very sweet time with G! Mumbo was resting, trying to ignore his anxiety and all the things he needs to do. Grian was running his fingers through Mumbo’s hair and talking sweetly to fight his unspoken anxieties. Grian notices that Mumbo is little before Mumbo noticed.

Mumbo has about 3 modes when little: super cuddly, bubbliest artist, and very anxious. No one knows which one its going to be until he’s in it. Usually cuddly and anxious ends with Mumbo in the arms of whoever he’s with. When he’s bubbly it usually consists of him sitting at the table drawing, swinging his feet, and talking drawing, art, or redstone to whoever is close enough to be considered listening.

Joel 🌈(Link)

Flip (Little age between 6-8)

Caregiver:

- Not very good at sitting down or playing with littles one on one but will happily carry them around if they ask

- He doesn't tell the littles where the rainbow actually comes from. Rather, he says he planted the rainbows himself, and that usually satisfies them

- The factory entrance is covered when a little comes over. Even if the book is put in the right place, it won't do much. He either hides it with a crafting table/chest or removes the books from that area enitrely, so there's very little chance of it opening.

- He encourages the littles to be "fine and normal" with him, which usually means instead of just Joel staring at people, it's Joel and whatever kid/s he's in charge of that day

- He's really good at sewing. His whole outfit was made by him. So if a stuffie is broken or clothes need patching up, then he's the main guy to go to

Little:

- Joel isn't the most sociable kid. He's more awkward than he is when he's big. He spends most of his time in his house playing with toys or following people around

- The only people to know he age regresses is Bdubs and Tango. Bdubs was accidental when he walked in on Joel playing with his toys, but Tango was enitrely Joel asking to be taken care of

- He doesn't do well without routine. He likes being told when to go to bed (even if he's fussy) and being checked up on occasionally

-Very independent little but does like having someone there

Scar 🔧(Link)

Little

- Regresses to 4-6

- Into space movies and playing with space themed toys

- His main caregiver is Cub or Mumbo (Bdubs used to be on the list but Scar doesn't fully forgive him for Pudding)

- He's not a very active little. He prefers either being with Rusty or a caregiver and snuggling up while watching a movie or show

- Very big on chocolate drinks

- He can't fully be trusted alone. He can do things independently but struggles with bigger tasks and is known to get injured easily if not careful, so he almost always asks for Cub or Mumbo to be with him

- He has a quiet area for him to nap in but will allow others to come in if he likes them

Tango 🗝 (Link)

Caregiver

- Primary littles: Impulse, Zed, Skizz (occasionally)

- Nicknames for littles: Kid/Kiddo, Bud/Buddy, Little one

- Dad caregiver

- As much as he loves building Decked Out 3, he's willing to make time for any littles who ask for it, even if it ranges from a quick check-in to spending hours cuddling or playing

- Yes, he's a vampire, but he doesn't like feeding around the young ones. He wouldn't want to frighten them. If he needs to eat, he'll excuse himself and trust that nothing will break while he's gone. (It often does)

- Very big on bedtimes and making sure the little ones eat

- He often puts on older films for the littles who get overstimulated or overwhelmed easily

- Will put any drawings the littles do for him in a special chest so they stay safe. He enjoys looking at them when he gets free time

Little

- Regresses to 5-8

- Not a very talkative with words little, but he does babble

- Very easily overwhelmed, especially when tired

- Loves books and libraries. He prefers to read when he's little rather than run around and play. He feels most comfortable reading around Tango because Tango will ask him about what he's reading and even give him books in case Impulse can't find any new ones

- He does have a preference for books outside of his age range (roughly in the 9-12 age range) but won't deny he likes reading books his age too

- Enjoys digging holes around people's bases and occasionally burying stuff for them to find during the times he's more social with other hermits

- He tends to suck on sour lemon lollies if he can't find his pacifier

- If he's not reading or digging, then he's probably napping

🎩 As a CG 🎩

🐾 Good with all ages, works best with kiddos who are fine with low energy play like watching movies, playing board games, and coloring 

🐾 Very crafty! He makes custom pacis, sippy cups, and bottles, which he always sells in a shop he makes every season

🐾 Likes to give gifts, stuffed animals, his custom pacis, new games and puzzles, etc

🐾 Likes to exaggerate a lot or make up stories to make the littles laugh

🐾 Jellie is a good “assistant caregiver”, she’ll sit with the littles and give them licks on the face when they’re sad, and Scar has trained her to pick up dropped pacis and give them to him. He’s trying to teach Katy and Finny the same, it’s going… slowly

🐾 On good days he’s up to pretty much anything, but he frequently has low energy and pain, so on those days he needs to just hang out and chill

🐾 Likes cooking and baking, so lots of yummy meals and cookies!

🐾 Takes the littles on tours of Scarland and the Zoo! Telling fun facts about the design and the animals, and letting them pet the safe ones! When they’re at the Zoo with younger littles he’ll make the sounds the animals do! It’s educational AND silly!

🐾 Very sensitive when little, either wants lots of affection or to not be touched at all, crys a lot when he’s younger, low tolerance for certain types of pain (despite having good pain tolerance when big), but can typically take a scratch (he’s got plenty of those from the cats, he knows how to deal with it). Feelings are hurt pretty easily

🐾 Just like when big, he will ramble for HOURS about Disney and Star Wars, especially Star Wars, his CGs are careful to show interest when he’s little though, not wanting him to feel upset

Hii I was wondering if you have any thoughts on little Etho? I adore him and I need more people’s thoughts on him (not at all mandatory but if you also have any thoughts on him having scar as a carer I would love to hear)

Little!Etho, my beloved!!

When he first started regressing he thought he was older than he actually was. He wouldn’t talk to many people about it but he was convinced that he regressed to like 10-13. This was very wrong, he is so baby. It took talking to Pearl about teen regression and seeing Gem regress to realize that maybe he was wrong…

Struggles a little more with his motor skills when regressed. He’s brushing hair out of his face with his whole hand and really struggles with picking papers or coins up off of tables.

Little gear and stuffies are something that Etho felt a lot of shame around and wouldn’t keep. He has had a lot of help changing this mindset, Gem and Cleo being really big help. He now has a stuffie that he can whip out whenever he needs it. No one knows where he keeps it, in his inventory, shulker box, or ender chest but it’s always available in seconds notice.

-> It’s an arctic fox that was gift to him from Pearl when she realized he was regressing littler than he would claim. He tried to get rid of it or regift it to Gem but he can’t give away a nice present.

He loves watching Minecraft videos when little. He likes something thats nice and calming. A Bdubs building video is a good go to.

He’s always sooo sleepy. Maybe it’s because he usually regresses late afternoon or close to bedtime or maybe it’s the nice warm cuddles that his CGs are more than willing to provide.

CG!Etho with a scar

Etho isn’t the first CG with a scar (GTWS has him beat) but he is the first with a facial scar. Honestly, he’s more worried about it than the littles. He’s worries that having a facial scar might make him look scary to the littles. They however don’t care very much. Everyone has known Etho for a while so its not unsettling its just Etho <3

His scar is quite old but it has healed red and affected his vision. Usually it’s not too bad but depth perception with only one fully functioning eye is difficult. However, sippy cups make everything easier. Lots of little gear is designed for littles to not spill things but it also works when your carer misses the edge of the table.

Littles love drawing Etho! Not a lot of people have two colored eyes or red. They have lots of fun making him pose. Etho collects the drawings for days when he worries about what the hermits think.

Littles love asking questions! Which is understandable, there’s a natural curiosity in little kids. He doesn’t tell them the real story but he always has a silly story for them. He says that a unicorn scratched his eye and that’s what made it red.

Scar loves hanging out with Etho! Sometimes he feels subconscious about his own scars when little but seeing Etho be confident regardless helps! Skizz is a big fan too, he doesn’t have the confidence issues (because it’s Skizz!) but loves being around someone that understands.

Hope these CG!Etho headcanons were good! Might not be what you expected but I didn’t want to lean into the “scars are scary” thing. I don’t think scars are scary and I don’t think people have that innately. I believe curiosity is more likely especially since littles already know Etho and are comfortable with him.

Evil headcanons 😈 GO!

😶 Little!False has verbal shutdowns often, either for a few hours or even days depending on her stress levels. She is used to being shamed for not speaking so when she is suggested to write on paper or use cards, False is joyfully surprised. AAC user for sure.

🏳️‍⚧️ Little! Rendog regresses and age dreams to gain back the girlhood she never got(Yes, transfemme Rendog!!!). Also, she likes to get her hair decorated and pretty-ed up, even if the braiding process is quite stressful and often painful :( tight curled hair can be hard to take care of for such a little pup!

🥸 CG! Joe Hills loves to do puppet shows for meows littles!(neopronouns user Joe Hills btw) Bark gets to act very silly and dramatic, and glitter gets the lovely reward of plentifull giggles in response.

🧶 CG! ZombieCleo is the #1 go-to hermit if any stuffies are torn or ripped. They also enjoy making small crocheted toys for her littles as well. Plus, if Joe Hills needs repairs, grr gets an excuse to visit her.

🤕 Little! Beef often overworks himself on the farm and hides his regression. So a caregiver will have to come visit to get him to relax and regress. Despite being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and athsma, Beef still avoids taking breaks and asking for help. Bonus headcanon: Beef likes to sing.

👌 Little! Grian stuggles with skin picking and trichotilomania(hair plucking), so caregivers often have to pull his hands away from his face or busy his hands with a fidget; especially while watching shows or relaxing when there isn’t much for Grian to do.

💡 Little! Bdubs is scared of the dark so he needs a nightlight anywhere he’s sleeping. His main caregiver’s are always prepared with spare nightlights for sleepovers. Bdubs’ favorite are the ones that project pretty pictures onto the ceiling, but he’ll accept normal lame ones just fine.

🍂 Little! Jevin often gets dirty with dust and leaves on his outdoor adventures. When he is big, he notices pretty easily and can get cleaned up by himself; but when small, he will come home super messy and only realize once someone points it out. Jevin is very unbalanced while small too and has bad proprioception, so he often needs help from a caregiver to get all clean; it makes him feel smaller and delicate.

😤 Little! Wels can be very bossy during playtime. Although, he likes to play protective or knight-like roles for pretend.

🫣 Little! Xisuma prefers to play by themself—they feel out of place and confused often when playing with others. If they were to pick a character to play for “house”, it would be the dog.

📖 CG! Scar loves to sneak starwars comics into storytime. Despite how fun his starwars dolls- I mean, “figures” are, they are strictly off limits to littles—unless they do puppy-dog eyes, then they are allowed but they have to be careful and he will be watching very closely.

Evil?? These are more just optimal silly headcanons. These are just the sillies!!

Little!Ren is so known for being a destroyer of clothing. They have sharp teeth and will rip holes or leave punctures in neck holes and sleeves. Not just their own… Sometimes CGs will peacefully be cuddling with a sleepy Rendog and wake up with a serious hole in their shirt. That’s why Doc’s lab coat looks like that.

Falsie when she gets overwhelmed is a scribbler. Accidentally colored out the lines? Scribble over the whole page. Doesn’t like how a drawing is? She’s scribbling. She loves scribbling and likes how they look.

Love transfemme!Ren !! She loves getting her hair brushed by their CGs. Sometimes hairdos are too much to deal with. She also loves getting her nails painted nice and sparkly.

ZombieCleo’s is totally the stuffie repair place! Cleo will talk to the little all about what’s going on and remind them that it doesn’t hurt the stuffie. The little gets lots of cuddles from Cleo while they cuddle their freshly repaired stuffie. Cleo knows that an injured stuffie can be really upsetting for a baby.

Beef does cow cuddling!! Either when he’s little or with his littles. The cows love to cuddle. Whenever it’s baby season the cows, goats, and chickens are always surrounded by littles that want to hold and pet the babies. Beef has his neighbors to watch and make sure everyone is behaving well if he wants to regress too. Goat yoga was not as much of a success as cow cuddles since goat hooves hurt a little when they stand on you (personal experience)

Skin picking is especially difficult to deal with when you also have feathers. Grian’s need to pick his skin gets really bad whenever they get pin feathers. CGs have tried picky pads and all kinds of fidgets. They don’t work the same because it’s the feeling that he wants the most. He also struggles with nail biting but that can be taken care of with a teether.

Bdubs and Gem are both big with the nightlights!! Gem has one of those light up worms that play music incase she wakes up and the night light is off. Or if she regresses by herself when she doesn’t have it turned on. Bdubs leaves his nightlights on all the time. He has a horse shaped one in his hallways!

Little!Pearly is a serial haircutter when it cones to dolls. All her Barbies are getting bobs and pixies. False loves it because she has shorter hair and the dolls hair is usually longer than hers is.

Little! Cleo and Gem are big weird barbie people. They color their hair and dress them in weird outfits. The weird girlies (gender neutral) have the silly barbies!

Little!Joel is a strange one! He eats the strangest things. You can’t leave him alone with chapstick or tubes of toothpaste, they will be gone or with serious teeth marks. Arts and crafts needs to be watched well. Non-Toxic paint is a necessary! Foam sheets and colored paper with bite marks has only one person behind it.

Xisuma and Grian like to draw really creepy things together. Drawing shadow people for fun while giggling and comparing their drawings is a regular. Scar does this too but he’s more looking for someone to understand what he remembers :(

Little!Tango loves cheating at games! Or well, “making his own rules” to games. Some people have different ways of playing Uno (stacking, skips, ect.) but Tango does it for every game. Usually to give himself double turns.
