It’s so ironic that Jude spends the whole trilogy of TCP thinking she’s an ugly mortal among ethereal and gorgeous enchanted beings and that she’s not beautiful enough nor capable enough when not only Cardan was in love with her but ALL THE GREENBRIAR BROTHERS and ALL THE MEN IN CARDAN GANG were interested in her in a way or in another!

Dain saw in her ambition, skill and discipline and wanted her as an allied and spy, Balekin had some attraction for her and implied keeping her as a lover in TWK, Valerian had been confirmed by Holly Black to have attraction for Jude but hating it bc she was human, therefore “inferior” to him and Locke says she’s beautiful several times!

I can just imagine a pre-books Jude waltzing in a revel with Oak and the screen opening to these bunch of 5 men in a table staring to her with completely different glares.

Deadline: Nathan Fillion Says ‘Firefly’ Animated Series In Development With Co-Stars Set To Reprise Roles; Concept Art Revealed

Today, Sunday, March 15th 2026, Nathan Fillion and the remaining core crew of Serenity announced at Awesome Con in DC that they are bringing back Firefly as an animated series called Firefly: Still Flyin'.

In the video posted on the Once We Were Spacemen (OWWS) Instagram account, Nathan detailed what they would need and who has signed on to the project thus far:

"Joss' blessing - I have it"

The rights from 20th Century Fox/ Disney: "They got excited - they said yes"

Showrunners: a married couple who met through Firefly! Tara Butters (Dollhouse, Agent Carter, Reaper) and Marc Guggenheim (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow)

"Joss Whedon, who created the original series, is not involved in the animated project."
