Hey everyone, I'm gonna be using Tumblr to promote the D&D campaign I'm in! We record our episodes and upload them to YouTube! Our current DM has had to step away for personal reasons, so we're taking this opportunity to explore our characters' backstories! (We've recorded an episode for our rogue/bard so far, and this episode is about my halfling cleric Amaryllis! I hope you all enjoy!)
On today's episode of The Homebrewers, our Returners Arc continues with a way more wholesome dive into the childhood of our favorite quiet book reading halfling cleric Amaryllis. From helping her dad on her family's farm, dealing with a familiar face as she tries to make Amaryllis' life a living hell, to finding a bigger calling with the god Rao and the series of circumstances that eventually lead her into the arms of Mishakal. Our little bookworm had quite the adventure in her youth.

like okay. so the plot of mob psycho is that mob didnt have a lot of friends as a child because people thought he was weird for having powers, and when his one friend got kind of bored of him showing off he resorted to repressing the use of his powers entirely to appear more “normal”. however, since his powers are an expression of his identity and not something that exists outside of him, repressing his powers also meant completely repressing his emotions, so he appears completely unemotive until he gets extremely overwhelmed and has meltdowns, one of which hurt someone he cared deeply about and caused him to repress his emotions even more. and because of this unemotive “mask”, as well as his inability to read social cues and general social awkwardness, people tend to look down on him and try to take advantage of him because they refuse to view him as an emotionally complicated person with his own wants and needs, and as a result he kind of internalizes this. and the series is about him learning to build friendships with other people and assert himself and his boundaries more. and instead of the final antagonist being some evil guy trying to take over the world or something its the manifestation of all of mob’s repressed powers and emotions and desires that have gotten tired of being cage which he refuses to let free because he’s terrified that if he’s himself the people he’s spent all this time as his “fake” self building relationships with won’t like him anymore.
like at a certain point it goes beyond “popular fandom headcanon” and into “just actually the plot of the show”
sometimes i just think about this and laugh. peak D&D, turning the potential baddies to the other side via magic and redheads.
So… I got a notification from the State Department at like 8 PM Pacific that my passport was approved, and I was quietly thankful and stunned bc my legal gender in Oregon is listed as X, or undeclared, and that's what's on my passport. I'm pretty sure someone(s) worked late to get the X passports done today.
I was already really grateful to whoever in the Seattle Passport Office worked late to get these things processed on the last Friday before That Man gets back into office... and then I got a notification that my passport shipped at fucking midnight Pacific and whoever got that shit out the door so it couldn't be picked up on Monday and like, denied and shredded?

ICE MUST have a warrant to search/enter any property. they will lie and manipulate you to allow them on the premises but if they arent holding a valid document in their hands they cannot legally do anything
They may say something like "our warrant is in the truck," tough shit, have them bring it to you, DO NOT FOLLOW THEM ANYWHERE. Do not leave your property if confronted.
If you are taken, say nothing until a lawyer is present. The exception is if there are bystanders present/filming, then you should shout your name and whats happening
If you are witnessing a raid in your community, wait to warn others via phone as the cops may be monitoring nearby communications and may use that to select their next targets. Warn by code or word of mouth
escape if the opportunity presents itself, but dont be stupid.
Reminder that it has been confirmed by ICE director Thomas Homan stated in his interview that Chicago will be ONE of the cities targeted Tuesday. If you live in a blue sanctuary city, consider either evacuating temporarily, finding a safe place to hide out, or stay home and DO NOT open your door for ICE. Stay strong and stay safe. I love how literally every account of this situation I've ever read has been very careful to frame it as a personality conflict between two Big Egos while also communicating an extremely clear subtext that it was really just Shatner being a big pissbaby over the fact that teenage girls liked Nimoy's character better than his.
