Genuinely, a lot of people on this site (and beyond) seem to have no idea what normalization actually means.
So let me elaborate:
If you see art of a ship that would be illegal/wrong irl, and you immediately know that it would be wrong irl, then it has not been normalized.
If something is normalized, it means that a large majority of people are doing it without a second thought, and the rest of society is okay with it. But you don’t see people publicly announcing on social media that they’re dating/marrying their sibling, or someone way too young (granted, I can’t speak for other non American societies but I do acknowledge that where it is normalized it’s a problem). You know damn well there would be (justified) backlash and therefore it is not normalized.
The disgust toward the very wrong ideas antis claim pro shippers are normalizing has not changed in any significant degree. And it will not change because of pro shippers, because people in fandom are a very small minority of the national population (US) and even more so globally (where there are more people to account for). On top of that, the large majority of pro shippers are aware that those kinds of relationships would not be okay in real life and would attempt to stop/report it if they encountered it.
What an actual normalization attempt would look like would be fundraising and petitioning to make those kinds of relationships legal. But again, this isn’t happening. People are just drawing fictional characters kissing, while again, knowing in the back of their heads that this would not be okay in reality (which is, by the way, a part of consuming media critically, but that’s a whole other beast I don’t want to get into tonight).
TLDR: All of you antis are using the term “normalization” incorrectly and what actual normalization is is not what pro shippers or anyone who ships problematic ships are doing

I’m an “anti” who recognizes their bias and just really wants to get rid of it. The only real trouble I’m having with undoing my bias is lolisho, and you seem like you could explain it well from your posts. So, I'll preface this by saying that I'm NOT a lolishocon/kodocon. Aside from the VERY RARE shota, I am generally uncomfortable with lolisho myself. As such, I can't really speak for anyone but myself (although lolisho fans are free to say their piece in the notes of this post, if they want!)
So, I'm just going to use my interest in Hanako from TBHK as an example, since he's one of the rare shotas I actually enjoy content of. For me, when I see him, I just don't think about him as a "little boy" the way most antis seem to think I would. What comes to mind is not a child, only a cartoon. I find real kids to be extremely gross, and sometimes annoying, on top of just...not at all being interested in them (and am also actually pretty aggressively anti-MAP). I simply like Hanako's design, and his dub voice, a lot. I think he's an interesting character, and enjoy exploring different dynamics and scenarios involving him
Basically, I don't see any resemblence between children, and bug-eyed cartoon characters. My brain sees zero similarities between them, and I find it really odd when other people (especially adults) don't make that same distinction
I will say, though, that I am generally against 3D lolisho, as well as lolisho art that is highly rendered. THAT is when it becomes realistic, and while I won't make assumptions unless the loli/shota actually looks like a real kid, I'm always going to SEVERELY side-eye anyone who seeks out any kind of realism in their lolisho. And if people refer to REAL KIDS as lolis/shotas, I will assume that person is a pedophile hiding behind proship-adjacent labels
apologies if this isn't the sort of question you're equipped to answer, but would you mind explaining why prostasia is bad? i don't know much about them, and the closest thing i could find to a decent source was also full of "loli is dangerous" nonsense (and some weirdly petty criticisms of random things their members have said).
I can name a few things.
1. They associate with (and sometimes employ) convicted sexual offenders, most commonly child abusers, yet they claim to support victims. They also associate with James Cantor, a known transphobes who wants to remove trans and nonbinary people from the LGBT+ community, and instead replace them with pedophiles, zoophiles, and necrophiles.
2. I have seen one case where Prostasia aided a child predator in getting a job as a lawyer for child sexual abuse cases. There was an article published by said lawyer, which I’ll have to find again, as I honestly can’t remember exact details at the moment. If I remember correctly, they had pulled some strings to help this person avoid legal repercussions, then paid for his schooling.
3. They have previously advocated for the use of “ethical csem” to prevent offenses. The article where they claimed support of this seems to have been taken down, but they were discussing using images of children who are currently adults (such as baby pictures, or csem that was obtained by victims who escaped the abuse since then), and using images of children “with their consent.” If you mention this to the founder, he claims that by “ethical csem” he was talking about lolisho. This is a lie.
4. The founder himself once attempted to harass me on twitter because I mentioned this stuff on my account. Blocking him prevented the harassment from ever REALLY starting, but I later discovered that he had been name-searching to find my posts (as I frequently talk about Fanexus, an upcoming site that Prostasia gave “legal advice” to regarding child exploitation).
5. One of Prostasia’s associates claimed that teleiophilia (the attraction to adults) was more dangerous than pedophilia, and claimed that pedophiles were the most oppressed minority in western society.
6. Prostasia advocates for introducing minors 14 and younger to the concepts of pedophilia and zoophilia. Not as a safety precaution, but to “educate” them on what those words “actually mean” in an attempt to help minors “discover themselves.” This is a VERY COMMON tactic the MAP community uses to recruit minors who are queer, mentally ill, neurodivergent, and/or struggling with intrusive thoughts. This is what MAPs commonly do to create AAMs (adult-attracted minors) for their community to groom.
Basically, Prostasia claims to be a research-based csa prevention organization, but it’s all a front. Based on what I’ve seen from THEIR OWN articles and associations, as well as their behavior towards me as a CSA survivor, Prostasia’s real goal is to justify and protect sexual abusers. They are an active danger to children and abuse survivors.

Prostasia’s founder has been stalking me since at least october 2020 (possibly longer) and block evading to send me vague threats. I had to delete my curiouscat over anons people, including prostasia’s founder, had been sending me

And trust me, the creator of Fanexus knows who they are and follows them and has directly interacted with the founder of Prostasia. He was grooming children on Flight Rising. Like, really unsubtly grooming children. This is not a shipping thing or an anti thing. No one cares about his tastes in fiction. He was grooming children on a website advertised for and oriented towards children/teenagers. He got banned from Flight Rising because he was grooming children on it. He is legitimately a danger to children.

Any actions against me from Puppy seem to have been spurred on by pressure from those two, as well as someone named BrandxSpandex. They have spent their entire time as a Fanexus mod being gaslit, abused, shit-talked, and more, as well as having their work go undermined and unpaid. They were kicked from the mod team when they asked the people in charge to have this addressed, in which case their mental capacity had been questioned. There is a pattern of abuse from the Fanexus mods, especially JackalTox. It needs to stop going ignored. As an update, two seperate minors have approached me to say that Tox had sent them porn. One of them was a victim of his in 2016, and the other during an unknown year. Both minors approached me independently with similar stories, both saying that he sent them PhinFerb porn. He currently runs an “all-ages” PhinFerb discord server that has nsfw channels (it’s unknown whether or not minors have access to those channels). I have ALSO seen proof of him showing porn to a teenager on baraag, who he stayed in contact with until late 2019.
Another person told me that he has sexually abused people offline, in person, and that multiple friends of theirs were victims of his (and I KNOW I’ve seen Tox post somewhere admitting that he “used to be” an abuser, so…)
Yet another person claims to have been a witness to his predatory behavior towards minors.
For their safety I’m keeping everyone anonymous until they tell me they want me to name them, but it’s all really scary, and goes much deeper than I had initially thought.
Please avoid Fanexus. It’s pro-map and run by literal fucking predators

I used to be in pro-ship Twitter and was a lurker in the Fanexus discord a few years ago, and I noticed a worrying pattern of pedo (I refuse to use the term MAP) sympathizing. A lot of hairs split about ages of consent and mapping fiction into irl to justify it. I'm curious as to your thoughts on why that is?
I was never in the discord server, but I've spoken up A Lot in the past about Fanexus and their defense of pedophiles, especially on twitter. I got harassed really badly because of it (to the point of nearly being hospitalized against my will) so I don't really want to rehash it. What's your opinion on minors in proship spaces in general? I know a lot of proship people dont want minors interacting and I feel like this pushes kids even further into the arms of antis
I have somewhat mixed feelings on it, but I guess it depends on like...what KIND of proship space the minors are in
For example, minors should absolutely NOT try to enter nsfw proship spaces. Not only is it dangerous for them, but any adults in those spaces (that are FOR ADULTS) could get in legal trouble for interacting with the minor in that space, even if they don't know the person is underage
I also feel a bit iffy about adults and minors discussing certain tropes together. For example, if an adult is discussing age-gap ships with a minor, that tends to be a pretty big red flag to me, even if pornographic content is not being discussed. As a whole, I don't really support adults and minors interacting in proship spaces
What I DO support is minors being proship. I think it's fine for them to post content related to the topic (as long as it's SFW for both safety and legal reasons), and I think they should be allowed to discuss problematic content with people within their age group. But, since most problematic content tends to be kink-related, there are some things that proship minors just shouldn't post in proship spaces that are shared with adults (such as in public)
But, then again, you never know who is lying about their age. So, mostly for minors' safety, I think they should maybe keep discussion of certain tropes private, and only with people their age that they know offline
TLDR: My feelings are extremely mixed. I support proship minors, I WAS one (before the term existed even), but it's very difficult for minors to navigate proship spaces safely, so I lean towards thinking they should avoid proship spaces online, and instead discuss these topics with other minors who they know in real life
