I have only been like lurking on tumblr every couple weeks the past few months cause life has been absolutely crazy. I ended up moving and switching jobs where I low key hyperfixated on jojo’s (part 5 specifically) cause I was watching as I moved.

Anyways the point is I’m trying to at least get back into posting a bit but it probably won’t be strictly aftg anymore. Although when the broken cage comes out I will definitely be back on that grind.

Waiting to see if Nora’s next update will be that she locked in the last two months in writing TBC or that she’s still stuck on that same chapter

People find it easy to hate Kevin Day because he’s an imperfect victim. No he’s not whimpering and kind. No he didn’t prioritise someone else’s survival over his own. No he didn’t rebel and chose to adapt to survive. He isn’t any less worthy of empathy for being “a coward” or for any of the above things.

We know that the Ravens' cars were mostly for show and the players were (almost) never allowed to drive anywhere, but we also know that they were kept in working condition...

This implies the existence of a Raven car maintenance guy.

It was (at least part of) someone's job to periodically start the engines (at least every couple weeks), possibly drive them around a bit, rotate the tires, change the oil, etc. Cars that are sitting for long periods of time should have a full tank with fuel stabilizer added, but we know that the Ravens' cars were left almost empty. This would have only made keeping them running more difficult.

There were 22 Ravens on the lineup Neil's freshman year. 23 cars that needed to be maintained.

They wasted so much money and energy for those cars to sit in a parking lot for 5 years...

Concept:

I’m glad Kevin lived in canon and didn’t die like he does in half of the drafts for many reasons. And one of them is most definitely I don’t think I’d have survived having to watch Andrew grieve Kevin.

Just…Riko shooting Kevin instead of Neil which is heartbreaking enough. But then you have Andrew holding Kevin in his arms practically begging him to stay with him.

Even going so far as to use the word he hate because Andrew would do anything if it meant Kevin got back up. But it didn’t work when he was 7 and it won’t work now.

He has to sit and watch the light drain from Kevin’s eyes knowing that when Kevin needed him the most Andrew failed to protect him.

He broke his promise.

He told Kevin he’d never let Riko take him away and he’s bleeding out on the Raven’s court with a bullet in his chest all because Andrew wasn’t fast enough.

Security having to physically hold Andrew back to take Kevin away from him cause he just won’t let go. Andrew losing all of his usual composure, he’s screaming, he’s shouting and demanding that they give Kevin back to him.

The only person who can reach him is Aaron but just barely. Neil’s a wreck who’s trying to pick with a fight with Riko and the rest of the Foxes are right behind him.

And Wymack has to stand there watching Kevin get carted away and Andrew breaking down in his twins arms realising he’s lost two of his kids in one day.

Andrew would never emotionally recover and frankly neither would I.

Jean and Kevin finally talking about the nest, finally talking about everything that happened to them. Kevin saying “you deserve to get better Jean. I’m so happy for you. I’m so proud of you.”

Then, Jean saying “you deserve to get better too you know.” And Kevin is speechless because no one’s ever said that to him before. He opens his mouth to say something but no words come out. Jean sighs and pulls Kevin into a long hug. Kevin holds onto Jean’s shirt like a life line.

But I'm sure if one of them was a woman, everyone would ship them (and it would still become canon)

Does anyone else think Riko was the shortest Raven? Cause I'm pretty sure that Riko was the shortest Raven.

Anyone under 5'5" (165cm) would have had to be insanely good to get signed, and I think we would have heard about them.

I fear the epic meltdown the aftg fandom will have when The Perfect Court eventually comes out will be absolutely nutty.

One of those little details I don’t think means anything but is interesting to me nonetheless is that all of the monsters have a middle name except for Kevin.

I just hope it’s not a Jean-Yves situation because otherwise I’m going to cry.

In another life Kevin Day is Oikawa wining the most hated award against literal criminals, all cause he’s an asshole who just really loves his sport.

“Kevin should’ve taken Jean with him” in what universe do you think Mr “my name is Jean Moreau my place is at Evermore and I belong to the Moriyama’s” is going to leave the Nest willingly????

I get people being upset Kevin left him behind and I get Jean being conflicted about it, that’s valid. But let’s be honest here Jean wouldn’t have left with him.

He would still be there be now if Renee didn’t drag his half dead body out and he was forbidden from going back.

Kevin had a small window to make that decision and in every universe he has to make the decision to either save himself or stay with Jean.

And he chose himself because Kevin would’ve died had he stayed behind.

Kevin having the strength to leave the nest ended up saving everyone’s lives.
