Both of these took longer than I'm willing to admit. Neither are perfect but I'm not looking for perfect, just "close enough". I've been doing this with a few other characters too!

So I’ve been playing Nijiro Paradise, the Ojamajo Doremi party game for the playstation. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite game of all time or anything but I do think it has its charms. When I boot it up for the first time and was able to control a sprite of Doremi I was filled with such a powerful joy, and I think that at least is something worth experiencing. A lot of the activities are funny, like hitting Oyajiide with a hammer or running around with the Ojamajos dressed up like ninjas, and there’s a lot of personality to seen like how the random event wheels are spun by the fairies or mascot Oyajiide. It definitely has serious issues though, there are only 15 mini games, which can be fun but are definitely pretty simple, and the limited amount of music can get pretty repetitive. Additionally, playing a main story game takes a very long time to complete, even on the shortest setting.

All in all though, it’s a fun little thing that I think is checking out for at least a minute minute or two if you’re as into Doremi as I am. You can find the rom here if you are interested, I’ve been running it on the ePSX emulator.

Also, I’ve made a bit of a guide to the game under the break here in case anyone needs one. It’s by no means exhaustive (I haven’t unlocked all the collectibles, for example), a whole lot of it is probably pretty obvious, and what I’ve done here already took way more work than I originally envisioned, but maybe if there’s interest I’ll continue to edit and work on it. If I get anything wrong or am missing something I’ll be sure to fix it if you tell me! Just send me a dm or an ask or something. I have no idea what the actual names of a lot of these things are, so there’s sure to be some mistakes in that regard at the least, and there’s a good amount of things that are still a total mystery to me.

First three images are every still of Mega Bored! It also includes one that's shaded (basically the default version). Image 4 is some Reika concept art that I cleaned up and turned into a finished picture! The stock art that existed for her was horrendous so I had to make that.

Image 5 is two versions of the Preschooler teacher that presents material in the videos. This is the first video where her outfit is dramatically different, and took basically redrawing pieces of her body because she's usually wearing a ridiculous amount of clothes. I even gave her a new hairstyle! Not sure if it will happen in every video, but I'm very happy with what I've done.

Feel free to use the Reika stock art freely without permission. As far as I'm concerned it's just official concept art finished.
