i see no problem with his actions. do i agree with them? not at all. but describing something as “intriguingly moe” adds nothing to the discussion and is considered internet slang, which they want none of because it’s immature and stupid and you wouldn’t use that to describe anything in an actual discussion with someone in real life. somethingawful straight up tells you that it is a place for serious discussion and that you need to actually put thought into your posts. at this point tumblr is just straight up looking for reasons to complain about somethingawful forcing you to pay for an account. and that’s fine! if you’re incapable of reading the rules (like the fellow that was banned) then it’s probably better for you, them, and more importantly, your wallet. there’s a huge reason he said what he said and it’s because of people like all of you who join the forum, get banned, and complain about how it was an unfair ban when the rules, the most important thing you have to read about a forum, ESPECIALLY one where you have to pay for an account, are written clear as day for you. none of you have a case. if you don’t want to pay, then don’t. it’s as simple as that.

second of all you need to stop spreading the idea that slowbeef is the sole authority of all LP because he didn’t create the concept and he never took credit for it in the first place and now all of you morons are talking about him as if he has authority over all things LP and that if he doesn’t approve of something you like then he’s a giant dick. that’s not the case at all. ANYONE can do Let’s Plays and Retsupuraes. The only thing Slowbeef has ANY authority over is the Let’s Play Subforum, and again, he isn’t in the wrong in his action. It was in the rules. Save the stupid internet slang for places like this.

Uh... You do realize regardless of the status of moe, ":C" is still an emote and Internet slang. Also, being banned is not the same as being permabanned. This person can pay ten dollars and have their account back. SA usually doesn't give a shit if you've gotten banned or probated once before anyway.

Also, "gently caress" and "poopoo" are only there as filters for unregistered people so if some kid comes in they won't be seeing the words "fuck" and "shit"... Unless someone edited their message in which case you'll see "*username* fucked around with this post at *time of edit*"

Long story short, SA is a good place if you're mature enough to actually understand why the rules are in place and take things with a grain of salt. If you can't read the rules, well you're probably too young to be on the Internet, much less on a forum.

Dangan Ronpa in 100 words or less

Dangan Ronpa is a poorly-paced overhyped hunk of junk that calls itself literature. The characters (about half of them at least) have decent enough fluff to them, but you’re always about to either fall asleep or yell “DO SOMETHING” before a new event finally unfurls.

It’s easy to tell who’s going to die and who’s going to stay even at the beginning if you understand the basics of story structure. I’d give it a 6/10 at best.

If you want a good visual novel in the same genre, get Hotel Dusk, Phoenix Wright or Higurashi no naku koro ni.
