Alita Battle Angel: A True Gem!

Alita: Battle Angel is one of those pure underrated gems that’s gonna become a cult classic as time goes by (you can argue it already is), and more than anything Alita as a character can be a great role model too in that respect. I really want a sequel to continue her journey and character arc.

Definitely a movie I’m gonna be picking up on Blu ray day 1.

The doll body Ido made is truly a work of art. The design, effort, dedication and love that went into this body is beautiful. It’s unfortunate that it gets destroyed… But, the end of the doll body is what brought the beginning for the berserker body in the movie. Sorry Ido!

Ok, so, as most know hobbits LOVE mushrooms, but what if they love ALL mushrooms, even the poisonous ones. What if a hobbit’s body is able to handle more of the poison and it doesn’t affect them at all. And they love it!

Aragorn, who is a skilled ranger who knows every plant, tree, and flower to survive: No those are poisonous!

Frodo, who’s mouth is stuffed full: No they’re not. We eat these all the time back in the shire.

Merry, speaking with his mouth full, spitting mushroom everywhere: Yeah, they’re definitely not poisonous. Do you want one?

Aragorn, now having an existential crisis: No, n-no. I’m good.

Sam, mumbling under his breath: Well I wasn’t gonna share anyways.

What if that’s the reason Sam and Frodo survived in Mordor?

What if all those references to noxious fumes and tainted water and everything were completely literal? They avoided eating anything made there, but they had to keep drinking and breathing.

What if part of Mordor’s defenses was that it’s literally poisonous to any creature not specifically bred to live in those conditions? What if Faramir was so careful about warning them about drinking the water because he knew it was fatal? What if Sauron’s general lack of concern about shit going down inside his own borders (aside from treachery, which apparently happened a lot) was knowing that any Mortal Man or Elf or Whatever that wandered in was gonna be stone dead in a few days, and his desire to catch any infiltrators on the borders was to keep them alive long enough for questioning?

And then these two hobbits who have spent their entire lives merrily ingesting enough poisonous fungi for breakfast to give Shelob a stomach-ache trot into Mordor and drink the poisonous waters and breath the poisonous fumes and scratch themselves on the poisonous thorns and feel mildly unwell.

Years later Sam gets a pained note from Faramir asking him how the hell he and Frodo survived when all the water is tainted with arsenic according to the survivors of the exploratory party and Sam writes back confused ‘What’s arsenic, it tasted bad and a bit metallic, that’s all I know honestly’ and Faramir goes to rant at Aragorn about how bizarre this is and is really confused when Aragorn goes into full-on flashbacks of watching those four tiny dumbasses STUFFING DEATH CAPS INTO THEIR MOUTHS LIKE GODDAMN CANDY.

And does that mean that corrective lenses should also be free, because people with good vision don’t need to pay to see clearly, and that devices to aid in mobility for people with limited mobility (from crutches to (practical) canes to wheelchairs to prosthetics) should also be free, because people who don’t have limited mobility don’t need to pay for them?

Then by that logic, healthy food and clean water should be free because without food and water we will die. Also, without water, hygiene will be minimal therefore increasing the chances of disease.

“Before filming we performed a 3D facial scan of Rosa and printed a fitted mask to help us with the capture dots we applied to her face. By putting holes in the mask, we were able to place the dots in the same place on Rosa’s face every day. Connected to her helmet were two small cameras positioned in front of her face, so we could record the change in the dots and her facial performance for every setup while filming.”

“In post-production we would use this footage to determine the exact muscles that were firing in Rosa’s face for each frame of the film. Rosa’s rich performance gave us a glimpse into Alita’s inner feelings, and capturing the emotions in her face was crucial to making Alita come alive.”

We need your help.

I guess I will be taken to prison by Chinese government one day, because of this art I drew, or the things I said.

I am from Hong Kong. As you may not know, this is a special administration region of China. We (still) have our own legal system, and freedom of speech, that’s why I can access to everywhere in the internet without censorship (I get ask a lot). Recently, over a million of people are protesting against the Extradition Law. It was an extremely-almost-impossible fight and many students are injured horribly by the police force. I WAS THERE.

If the extradition law is passed, which means that China can “took” anyone from Hong Kong back to China as “prisoners”. Oh you don’t wanna know what China will do to those innocent people …

The government is forcing the law on us. We couldn’t do this on our own. We need more attention from other countries. Please spread this message out.
