The Chronological Superman 1954: The scaly figure from Superboy vol.1 No.30 may look familiar to long-time Superman Family fans - he’s not Jimmy Olsen, but he predates Jimmy Olsen’s “Turtle Boy” incarnation by leaps and bounds. His appearance on the cover even puts the tree-munching menace at the sight of a wrecked bridge, same as the iconic cover featuring Superman’s pal.
