the male fantasy of driving around with a girl on the back of your motorcycle is an elaborate excuse to get to be little spoon
i need to read more academic articles to make my yaoi more insane
I for one think the symbiotic relationship between Tumblr and AO3 is beautiful
God bless the sickos over at the AO3 for providing the absolute most conceptually bizarre yet extremely compelling fiction for free.
i should wake up and automatically be restored to full health, that's how sleeping should work, what is this horseshit
*waking up with a sore neck* where are my goddamn spell slots
I've decided if people are going to call male characters babygirl then I can do it the other way around for female characters. She's my man now. That woman is my boyfriend. My boytoy even.
My therapist just told me my problem is that I need to write more fanfiction.
This sounds fake but the logic behind it is actually really interesting? She said obsession with a new fandom triggers quick dopamine release when we consume all this related content--it's easy and addictive.
What we're NOT getting is that 'slow dopamine' that's more sustainable and engaging. That's the kind we get from DOING things that take effort but are ultimately rewarding.
So like, she suggested that writing fic and making fanart are ways to balance the quick dopamine of watching a show/reading fic with the slow dopamine of working at something that takes effort.
Moral of the story is you should engage in the process of creation around your favorite things. You'll feel better for it.
Oh.
OH.
This just made me stupid laughâŠ. Its not even that funny
Hi Moo, been awhile. How are you?
I'm not bad, just doing adult things like crying over the idea of going to the dentist, celebrating good blood test results with pizza rolls and pumpkin lattes, and trying to maintain my sudden interest in making smoothies so all the frozen fruit/veggies in my freezer don't go to waste
I hope you're doing well đ„Čđ€
Adulty things indeed. I also despise going to any sort of doctor, and making appointments for them is the worst. Glad your blood results came back with good info. Iâve always preferred apple cider to pumpkin spice. Smoothies are an excellent way to use the fruits and veggies. And i am doing well. Work has been rather pleasant as of late. And one of my sisters got married 2 weeks ago, so i got to see a bunch of family that i dont see often enough. âșïžđ€
âreally?â I say to inanimate objects that are not working like they usually do
âStay.â I glare at inanimate objects that continuously fall over
âThank you!â I say exhasperatedly to the inanimate objects when they do finally work right/stay put
âSorry! I say to the table I bumped into
âSHHHâ I say to the inanimate object that keeps making noise
âYeah, yeah, Iâm coming,â I huff at the persistent kitchen timer.
âwhy are you like this?,â I grumble at the inanimate object that is doing it again
âPlease donât yell at me,â I say to the inanimate object that is making vague beeping/the- function-you-attempted-didnât-work noises
âGood job!!â I say to the inanimate object that has completed the task it was created to do.

Big fan of characters realizing they don't get to die. They have to live. And grow. And be a person. And deal with shit they thought they'd never have to. And be fucked up about it. I would like more of this. Enough dying for honor or as redemption. It ain't. You're just a corpse. There is no moral value in dirt time.
Iâll admit, dirt time got me
I happened upon your Ma Miles, and let me just say WOW. I had to go back thru and like each chapter after i had read thru them all. Keep up the amazing work!
*bawling my eyes out as I clutch my phone to my chest* Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for reading Ma Miles and for liking each and every chapter (I did notice your name in my notifications and it made me so happy)!! I am working on chapter 21 right now, but I don't know when I will be able to post it. It's at 5.5k as of right now, but it's barely halfway done, so... Trying to set a date is difficult as IRL is a bit busy atm, but real soon! The draft is already made up and saved here on tumblr, so it's only a matter of time XD Again, thank you so much for reading Ma Miles and for liking each chapter! It really means so much <3<3
I shall wait with baited breath! Thank you for putting out amazing work! Always happy to put smiles on creators faces. Take your time, remember quality not quantity, those that care will wait.
âyou should be the bigger personâ absolutely not. iâm cursing his entire bloodline.
Is your witcher creepy or wet today
Quick PSA, if you get one of those "Work scanned, AI use detected" comments on AO3, just mark them as spam.
Some moron apparently built a bot to annoy or prank hundreds of authors.
There is no scanning process, your work doesn't actually resemble AI writing, it's all bullshit. Mark the comment as spam (on AO3, not the email notification you got about the comment!) and don't let it get to you.
The spam comments have evolved.
They are now also linking to a site they claim is able to scan works and tell you whether they were AI written or not, and that you should do that before reading a fic.
It should go without saying that you should not, under no circumstances, visit a site advertised in a spam comment.
In this case, I'd say there's even a chance that the "scanning" site is actually used to scrape fics and use them for future AI writing. What it definitely doesn't do is tell you whether something was AI written or not. That's a bullshit claim.
Don't use that site. Don't believe these spam comments, whether you get them on your own works or see them on someone else's.
It's all bullshit.
