Neo Atom animation is real: a new special 3D short film produced by Tezuka Productions, titled 『ネオアトム誕生』 ("The Birth of Neo Atom") featuring Atom's design from the 1972 Astro Boy manga 「アトム還る」 ("Atom Returns") will be shown in the Pasona Natureverse pavilion exhibited at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo, taking place for 6 months from April 13, 2025 to October 13, 2025.

Atom and Black Jack will appear as navigators in the Pasona Natureverse pavilion at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo.

Story summary:

In the newly released "The Birth of Neo Atom," a space colony where many people live begins to head toward the sun due to an AI malfunction. In order to avoid a crisis that threatens humanity due to the colony colliding with the sun, Atom must stand up to stop the colony from going out of control. Atom succeeds in destroying the colony, but his body cannot withstand the impact of the explosion… Many years later, Atom is saved by Black Jack and wakes up again in this world. It is a completely original story created by Tezuka Productions. The story of the birth of Neo Atom, which will be shown exclusively at this pavilion, can be experienced in a powerful full 3D animation.

I think i never posted this?? Basically the idea came from i don’t remember who on the discord (astro boy discord, super cool, dm me if you’re interested :3) said they love the idea of atom in pluto have shows made about him, and those shows being the actual shows. But it can also just be interpreted as like, pluto atom looking through the multiverse.

Then i made it rainy because i want to torcher myself and hand draw hundreds of rain drops…
