Spoiler, finding my joy again has been through writing! But the journey is just as important!
Thank you, Las Vegas!
Thank you, LasĀ Vegas!
Thank you, Las Vegas! Iāve loved your city and its novelty to me. Your lights, your sounds, varying forms of entertainment. Your attractions a uniquely you, mirror of global culture and media. You fascinate me, push me to think and explore this representation of the world we live in. Thank you, Las Vegas!Ā Your desert landscape a new and exciting exploration for my blizzard and tropicsā¦

Confident Energies
Confident Energies: Thinking about how the experiences in our lives influence the way we feel confidence, and the power we have to work with these energies to create more positivity in the world.
Confidence is all a kind of energy. The way in which we manifest and exude that energy is dependent on the context around our experiences and how we interact with this concept within ourselves and in our environments. It is fluid and changing and, though there are factors outside of our control that influence it, itās about the journey to understanding how we can use this energy in positiveā¦

Mountain Energy
Our environment, and the energy it emits, is constantly shaping and impacting everything about our lives.
Our environment, and the energy it emits, is constantly shaping and impacting everything about our lives.Ā Ā
We see this physically with things like the weather. Itās a suuuper sunny day and now my skin is a very distinct pinkish red. Itās supposed to rain so Iāll take an umbrella with me, or I wonāt and pay the consequence of walking around with wet hair. I went from belowsea level in Newā¦

2020 Reset
The age of 2020 has been a mess, and Iām sure the show is not over, but this was an unbelievably necessary reminder that we all need a reset sometimes. Even the fanciest of computers and the most grounded of humans, and especially me!
Letās be real⦠2020 has been a shit show. There have been unbelievable levels of hate, negativity, and downright stupidity in the air. Trying to stay on the positivity train has not been easy and I have fallen off the path more times that Iād like to remember.Ā
I went into this trip having never been to the area before, facing fears, taking risks, and challenging myself to dig a little deeperā¦

My People Make Me
Hello, my name is Branna and I am an extrovert! Being around people gives me so much energy and being around my people literally keeps my heart beating as far as Iām concerned!
If you checked out The Energy of Traveling Alone, you know that I very much needed to take on this journey by myself. That being said, I penciled in the perfect amount of social time to keep me sane! It felt so balanced to be able to tap into my own center of gravity while having a reminder of how far Iāve come to be where Iām at now.Ā
It was the craziest of coincidences that during this oneā¦

Fear's Energy
Call me crazy but literally everything has energy, even the things we fear. I was so grateful to see the transformational energy from fear to beauty on my trip.
While gazing upon my morning mountainscape, a small spider stumbled upon my journal. Letās just say, I do not make friends with spiders! But this was different than the, unfortunately counteless, other spider encounters Iāve had. Rather than āfreaking outā like I am known to do, I just sat and continued my breakfast while he rested on the other end of the table. This energy was completelyā¦

5(ish) Hiking Life Lessons
Ok yāall this oneās a long one but I painstakingly narrowed it down to 5(ish) life lessons I took from my hiking adventures. Explore how my solo trip helped give me the mental and emotional space to really reflect on how similar hiking and living are!
Going on a hike by yourself is a whole kinda vibe.. Sure I could slip and die and no one would know, but hey, at least no one had to actually witness me shriek at that big oleā spider! However, seeing as you werenātthere, weāll call it a yelp. All death aside, hiking alone on my North Carolina trip gave me that mental and emotional space to really think about everything I was getting from thisā¦

The Mountains Are My Muse
This #MountainEnergy gave me everything I needed to find my muse in the mountains! Letās maybe not talk about my attempts at visual art, but you are highly encouraged to check out my adventure with a poetic voice!
Maybe itās just me who hears āmuseā and flashes to watching Hercules as a child, featuring strong musical numbers by some pretty fabulous muses. If Iām not alone, bless! If I am, letās have a sidebar about your Disney education! Unfortunately, my North Carolina muse was not a sassy black woman, instead I got a whole mountain range!Ā
Everywhere I looked, I was filled with amazingā¦

Traveler's Guilt!?
Traveling during the age of 2020 was not an easy decision. There is a share of guilt I will need to come to terms with for embracing this, very opposite of āsafer at home,ā adventure.
I wonāt pretend that Coivd-19 wasnāt 100% my reason for initiating this North Carolina road trip. It totally was. I spent my first few months of quarantine doing the recommended home improvements and self care, but now I was feeling stuck and needed an adventure. But, in typical 2020 fashion, the same reason for leaving was the biggest challenge of the trip.Ā
It was a factor in every decisionā¦

The Energy of Traveling Alone
Alone is not my favorite word.. Maybe one of my least.. But the Energy of Traveling alone does something beautiful for my soul. As always, I hope that sharing struggles and triumphs may give you a new perspective or maybe encourage your own energy search!
Iāll be honest, the word āaloneā scares me a lotta bit. I am a very social creature and definition of extrovert with so much of my energy coming from the people around me. We donāt even have to be doing anything, I just want your presence, your energy, your soul to remind my soul itās not alone! So one would assume that traveling alone would be the last thing I would want, right?Ā
I alwaysā¦

Social Media Stepback
Social media was a large factor in getting me up and out to North Carolina, but I did need to take a Social Media Stepback during this adventure! It was the perfect decision and I'm so happy to be able to share my words, photos and insights with you now!
If you checked out my first blog āThank you, Social Mediaā you know all about how I so desperately needed an adventure which took shape in the form of a road trip from the hurricanes of Louisiana to the mountains of North Carolina. Social media played a big factor in all of the great plans that were made and even for going there at all.
I guess I would say Iām pretty into social media. In myā¦

Thank You, Social Media
Thank You, Social Media! My week in North Carolina was full of #MountainEnergy and lots of lessons learned! I'll be releasing 11 posts over the next month to let you in on my life changing experiences.
I am no stranger to planning a trip. I love the excitement of researching a new place and I jump at any excuse to create a well rounded itinerary. And this trip.. This trip was a real winner. I have to be honest though, I canāt take allthe credit for how well my 7 day road trip from New Orleans to North Carolina went. All of the great excursions included were thanks to the recommendations of myā¦

Validation
We all crave validation in some form or another. My typical search for validation is no where near healthy but it's just another leg in the journey to finding Miss B!
Social media can be a lot of thingsā¦. Healing as we reconnect with distant friends and family Toxic as we constantly compare ourselves to others Humorous as we share popular memes that are sometimes a little too real Fake as we post beautiful pictures just across the vale of depression
Social media is my validation. When I post pictures like the ones below, Iām not doing so to brag about how wellā¦
