thanksgiving: what is something/someone you’re the most thankful for? any particular reason?

I’m grateful for the friends who’ve been by my side since I was a child. It took me more than 20 years to appreciate how rare this kind of friendship is, this certainty that we would do anything for each other and always be by each other’s side, no matter what. I’m glad I finally realized how lucky I am to have them in my life, and will spend the rest of my days trying to be worthy of it.

apple picking: if you could go anywhere, where would it be and why?

I’d go to Paris, because I’m basic like that. (there’s really no other reason behind my answer)

Flannel

Hi nonnie! I actually realized there’s two different “flannel” in the ask, I don’t know which one you meant so I’ll answer them both (the first one’s a bitch but I’ll do it for you because you’re a lovely anon).

flannel: have you ever gone on a bad date?

LOL YES. I’ve gone on a date with someone who told me everything about himself, his family, his dog, his last three jobs, his high school best friend, a particularly bitchy biology teacher, his neighbor who had died a few days earlier, how good he was doing at uni, what car he was planning on buying and an awful lot of other stuff, and walked away at the end of the night without even knowing what I did for a living.

He was a decent kisser, though, I have to give him that.

flannel: what’s your favorite day of the year? is there a reason it’s your favorite?

I’d have to say Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Mostly because I love being with my parents, prepare the family dinner and being generally silly together. I’m an only child and we don’t have any other relatives close by, but that only made us grow closer and really enjoy the very few times that we can spend together.

This is difficult lol. I believe I’ll go with Blaine Anderson from Glee, because the guy is a frigging ball of sunshine who dances on furniture and is the biggest drama queen evah. Also, he suffers from depression and actively goes to therapy to try and get better, BUT he still looks like the aforementioned frigging ball of sunshine to everyone on the outside so yeah, I relate.

Even though the description “sex on a stick and sings like a dream” doesn’t fit me at all but well, we can’t always win, right?

pumpkin spice: what’s your drink of choice?

COFFEE. Any kind of coffee, really. Espresso, moka, French press, cappuccino, Frappuccinos, anything that leaves me feeling that warmth inside that only coffee leaves behind.

It was a few days ago, and I’ve yet to determine if it was a mistake or not (hashtag single life). Keep you posted.

29.02.16 | Another study date with my mumma 😊📘☕️

Yesterday was a very good day - I was very productive, feeling particularly motivated and determined. Today, I had to battle against bureaucracy, so of course my mood changed drastically. I already had to face the disappointing reality that the transfer to a different university that I’d been planning for months isn’t a viable option anymore (at least for the time being) because of some newly-arisen family issues; and then I had to deal with the administrative officer of my University, who was extremely annoyed by my change in plans and the fact that I bothered him for nothing since my transfer fell through - even though all the work he had to do for me was answer two emails, three months apart from each other. 

I’ve been telling myself for hours that it doesn’t matter, that I don’t even need to ever meet this guy in person so he and his opinions are of no importance to me whatsoever, but my brain doesn’t seem inclined to listen. 

As a copying mechanism, I’ve been doing some research and gone back to one of my favorite textbooks, one that you can see from the photo is very well loved. Thank goodness for my many cinema-related exams, they always manage to make me feel a little bit happier.

I’m 30 (yeah I’m ancient I KNOW)

I’m from Naples, Italy

I’m an Intercultural communication, media and cinema student

I work as a graphic designer, communication advisor and intercultural mediator

Interests

Cinema and audiovisual arts, as obscure and pretentious as possible.

Literature. Most of all, I love experimenting with new genres/authors. I’m always on the lookout for something untried and exciting.

Volleyball - I haven’t actually played in years, but I still spend way too much time traveling to/from matches all around Italy and Europe

Tv series, the worst they are the better (it makes my communication-major-self happy to have a chance to cruelly criticize something)

Coffee. In quite an obsessive way. I love drinking coffee, making coffee, smelling coffee, buying coffee and coffee makers and coffee flavored stuff and try different coffee making techniques. I spend a lot of hard earned money on it, but it gives me joy so I can’t really complain. 

Perfumes. I’m the kind of person who stops strangers on the street to ask what they’re wearing. My absolute favorites are old ladies fragrances - if it’s something a 90-year-old grandma in a Chanel suit might wear, you can bet I will love it.
