most of the cars are models mentioned in the fast and furious franchise, and all pictures are meant to represent a visual for the readers, all from my fanfic, deciphered: street racing au oikawa x reader, based off @aikk00‘s amazing Haikyuu! Street Racing AU.
1. Oikawa’s 1997 White Mazda RX-7 Veilside Fortune
Han from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift drives this exact model of car, but in orange. To make the colors similar to the Seijoh Brawlers, I made sure the body of his car was white. In my opinion, this is the best looking car out of the models I had imagined. This car fits Oikawa’s vibe so much, as he is a drug dealer and the leader of the Seijoh Brawlers, so it would be a no brainer to give this man an expensive, modded out beauty of a car. These screenshots are from the video linked above. Go ahead and check it out if you want to visualize the race, as it takes place similar to where the RX-7 in the video is driving through.
2. Kuroo’s 2003 Red Nissan Veilside 350Z
I imagine most of the Nekoma Crew drives red cars. Also this is the same model as the car DK drives in Tokyo Drift, so it would be a shame of me if I didn’t make Kuroo’s car the same model as the Drift King himself.
3. Leia’s 2000 Pink Honda S2000
This is the car the reader and Leia sit on while she explains the underground street racing scene. My best friend whom I named the character in the fanfic after actually loves Suki’s pink Honda S2000 from the 2 Fast 2 Furious movie. She requested the model would be in the story, and to be Kuroo’s ABG girlfriend lol.
4. Iwaizumi’s 2006 White Subaru WRX STI
My actual cousin looks like Iwaizumi, so I thought it would be funny to have Iwaizumi to drive the same car my IRL cousin has. It gives it a little sense of personal touch to the story for me. Also this car is badass.
5. Kita’s 2002 Black Nissan Silvia S15
I believe in this picture the car is dark grey, but please ignore that and pretend it’s black haha. This is exactly how I imagined Kita’s car to look like, as all of the Inarizaki Bois would drive sleek black cars. This is also the model that Sean borrows from Han in his first race against DK.
6. Kageyama’s 2012 Black Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition
I imagined most of the cars racing would be older models, as street racing was more popular around the 90′s and early 2000′s. Yet, because I emphasized Kageyama was a new racer (and possibly a rich, cocky one at that) he has this expensive bad boy. It screams Kageyama, and I stand by it.
7. Suna’s 1997 Black Toyota Supra
Suna wins 2nd place in the same race as Iwaizumi. Like most of the Inarizaki boys, I imagined Suna to drive something very sleek, and I felt like he would have been a Toyota Supra kind of guy (also this model is really hot ngl). It’s also featured in the first fast and furious movie.
8. Bokuto’s 1999 Grey Mitsubishi Eclipse
I felt like Bokuto would drive something very similar to this, and I wanted to add another fast and furious car model in. I actually imagined that Bokuto would drive the same car Brian O’Conner would drive (specifically the custom wing attatched in the back of the car) just in grey instead of neon green and blue. This was the closest car I could find that was similar to what I had imagined since Bokuto would also have gold rims on his tires. So basically imagine the second picture but in grey with gold rims like the first pic.
9. Tanaka’s 2006 Orange Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
My dad actually had this car in all white (yet again, another personal touch to the story). Tanaka wins 3rd place in the same race as Iwaizumi, and I felt he would be that kind of person to try to pick up chicks in this car. It screams Tananka energy. Most of the Karasuno Killers would have orange cars to rep their gang, except Kageyama.
10. Oikawa’s getaway 1996 Dark Green Honda Accord
In chapter 3, Oikawa uses this beater getaway car, lended by Mr. Sakanoshita.
11. Mika’s 2014 White Lexus GS 350
A gift from her boyfriend, Suguru Daishou.
12. Hanamaki’s 1997 White Honda Integra
I mentioned in the fic that almost all of the Seijoh Brawlers have exclusively only cars from the 90′s as the Seijoh Tune Shop specializes in older cars from the 90′s.
13. Matsukawa’s 1997 White Mitsubishi 3000GT
I just realized that I gave almost all of the Seijoh Brawlers cars that look alike lol and Oikawa’s, Maki’s and Mattsun’s cars are all from 1997 wow lol.
