So here I am running around, doing the Spring festival and: I've noticed something rather....irritating.

The background music.

Now allow me to explain, the music in LOTRO in great I cant give enough props to the various composers who've made the music over the years.

But the other day I was going around The Bree Festival Grounds, when I suddenly remembered the Daffodil Days festival in Clegur. Now I haven't had a tune go to Swanfleet in quite sometime. So off I go to Lhan Garan in Swanfleet and - the background music is suddenly VERY much in the foreground! If you catch my meaning.

I go, check my settings, and nope - the BG music is set to the same level as it was in Bree, but for some reason the BG music in Swanfleet is WAY louder.

I'm not going to complain too much because I actually love that the LOTRO team is adding new alternate festival grounds for us to enjoy.

But now that I've noticed the stark difference in the BG music volumes between the 'New' zones and 'Old' zones, I find myself constantly going in and adjusting the volume. Hench the irritation.

But i'm not going to let that stop my enjoyment!

Well seeing as how we can play as children River Hobbits in LOTRO now I present to you:

Young!Idared!

My fun lil head cannon is that our young Loremaster ventured far and wide in her never-ending search for knowledge.

Sneaking away from home was easy enough. Getting to Cardolan on the other hand, a little harder.

She travels many miles over hill and stream until at last: Tharbad

Unfortunately its when she tries to cross the Greyflood that things go wrong for the young Loremaster.

With the majority of her gear gone Idared is cold, tired and trapped on the far side of the river.

But as fortune would have it: The city of Tharbad was not quite as abandoned as she was told, and better yet: a friendly face.

A man named Meneldir, who reminds Idared of the Rangers in Bree she's met. Though Meneldir insists that he is no such thing.

Nevertheless, Meneldir decides to watch over the child as she insists on studying the ruins.

And thus begins a long and unorthodox friendship.

There is a trail of lanterns going from a dock up to the house, but I cant recall there ever being a quest involving this location.

Idared's Adventures in the Wildermore!

When Idared set out to investigate the happenings in Wildermore she hadn't expected to find such cold conditions.

The bitter cold reminded Idared of her adventures in Forochel, and the heavy furs that kept her alive on those frigid days.

And as much as Idared hates having to take anything of people in need. She wasn't going to solve anything by freezing to death.

So after asking around Idared was able to scrounge some warmer clothes for the challenges ahead.

Then after spending way too much time in Hytbold I finally went to Wildermore, because I remember liking that zone and:

Kind of wish it was lounge-able but one can sit upon it!

But alas:

Chair of the Weaving Wood puts me upon the floor :(

Not sure why that Apple chair got me running around screen-capping my premium house, but here we are!

Most of the chairs work, the benches do not. And furniture sets, such as the Umbar seating arrangements or picnic tables, lack special sitting animations.

Second scribble (took very long, I dropped the full render because the lines took ages), Lothrandir and Radanir Going North. I realised that I severely missed an opportunity, so eventually I'll do a version of this where they're in winter ranger clothes and Radanir is watching the northern lights :)

There's a part two to the Lothrandir fic that is just Radanir and Lothrandir going north and figuring out how to be normal again and falling madly and devotedly in platonic-love and never leaving each other's sides forever and ever.

Doing some Delvings today on Glamdring and I suddenly find myself in the sky:

Got to finish the Delving with this very jarring glitch that totally wasn't making me nauseous.

in other news: I decided to un-filter lock boxes and use some Black Steel Keys for a chance at that new desk that just dropped and got it in one go! Man I hope that's still in my bag when i relaunch the game
